Scottish Independence

I thought you were against referendums where you believe the public don’t know what they are voting for?
I am too in general, but think they work better in a system that isn't FPTP. Because generally one party isn't in a position to impose their vision of what people voted for the same way the UK system usually is.

Absolutely right.
You need to look at the contrast between what the pro-independence movement in Scotland had to produce before the IndyRef in 2014 with what the Leave campaign produced in 2016.

The leave campaign played a fantasy and the Scottish independence movement don’t say anything.

That’s the only difference.

With this hangover I’m not sure I can get through 670 pages to be honest:-) I think generally speaking it would be wise to give Scotland their ref after we know what post brexit is going to look like. I accept that ignoring people’s views long term isn’t good. I think shortly after the next election would be about right.
Think it needs to be after next January and we see whats’s happening with Brexit, Also after the 2021 election and see what support the SNP gets. So maybe 2022 ish. Think that Sturgeon thinks the same , but she’ll carry on poking Johnson partly to get a reaction and refusals to play well at home partly to keep her more hardline members happy.

There is no way there will be one in this term of government, absolutely no way whatsoever.

I see she’s flirting with the idea of an advisory poll, that should be funny when she loses it.

They say lots, and produce projections whether you agree with them or not they provide far more detail than the eu leave campaign loads of stuff out there from the first vote and more updated stuff too.

Mr certain. I see, can’t remember so far back did you post with such certainty before the EU referendum ? How anyone predict politics with your certainty after the last 4 years is beyond me.
