Fletcher is a big doubt. Heard has been at home with flu, no gimmicks, they don't want him infecting the players who have been around...
Source?

Probably someone sneezing in a supermarket or possibly even a door handle......

i would like to surprise them by playing the dalglish formation. we have 2 potentially good wing backs who can bombard forward kolarav and zabaleta. 3 cb may be helpful for error prone toure and kompany. and dzeko for tip of the diamond

----------------hart-----------
--kompany-----toure------lescott
zabaleta-------dejong----------kolarov
------------yaya toure---------
----silva----------------tevez------
-------------dzeko----------------

Nice work mate. Put Kompany in the centre and Kolo to the right, though.

It basically becomes a six or seven in midfield as both Tevez and Silva will drop short for the ball.

Dzeko gives us the permanent presence up top.

thank you. i thot the old toure suits to be in the middle of the 3cbs because i feel he is a tad slower than kompany, plus he is more experienced which is a plus for libero position. i might be wrong though. im just a noobie in this forum.

What boozer in Poulton mate?

Probably The Thatched. Only because you can smoke and watch it at the same time out the back, plus I've got a good record when i've seen us in there.

Ah the Thached house in Poulton-le-Fylde. great pub. last time I was there was in 1981 before coming to australia. have a few traditional ales for me Blues

That actualy looks quite good, but if it was picked at any time Mancini would get slated for playing an ultra defensive 5 man defence, even though it's not.

And I think it would be too big of a risk to set up like that in such an important game, maybe test it if were a few up at half time against another team.

Oh and I'd have Richards over Zabaleta as a wing back...

Mark Lawrenson's Manchester Derby Prediction

Man Utd v Man City (1245 GMT)

This is a huge game for United and not only because it is the derby.

After losing their Premier League unbeaten record for the season against Wolves last week, it is important that they get back on the horse.

What is worrying for United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, however, is the lack of chances they created in the second half at Molineux.

City saw off West Brom easily enough and it looks like their little run of poor form might be over.

I can see this one ending in a low-scoring draw and I think City manager Roberto Mancini would be absolutely delighted with that result, as he was with a point at Arsenal.

He lined up ultra-defensively in that game at the Emirates in January, as he did against United at Eastlands in November.

It might be stating the obvious but Mancini is Italian, and when he goes into the really big matches he has an Italian mentality where he thinks 'the only thing we can't do is lose'.

He aims to have a solid base all the time in midfield and at the back and, if he needs to chase the game in the last 20 minutes he will make some substitutions, unlike Sir Alex, who will just go for it anyway.

That is the difference between the two managers.

Prediction: 1-1

This would put City on 58 points in 4th place in the table, level on points with Chelsea, according to his predictions.

In fact, City currently have 49 points and are in 3rd place going into the early kick-off game at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Here are all of Lawro's 2010-11 Premier League predictions, together with how the League Table would look like if he was correct...

Dalglish plays a 5-man defence. No thanks.

I certainly hope we go out and attack,

However I think RM will send a team out to do what we did against arsenal at the emerates and the rags when they came to us.

They are there for the taking.

COME ON CITY
