That's me!! The 'security' man seemed very disappointed that I was a female!! He asked this man who was over from S.Africa, if he was Eccles Blue & when he said no & I said that would be me, he looked a little shocked!! :-)

You did well Sheila and made some good points. I hope your school has more Blues because of your good work.

I still think the Club could have handled some of this better. Anyone working in business development / higher end sales know that Companies who wish to keep their customers make personal contact e.g. By phoning the people most affected. I certainly get calls when the evening discussion with our manager doesn't sell out. I also think Kate made good points about respecting the loyalty of fans!

That said I am looking forward to next season and I hope we get full houses every week.
Totally agree with your comment regarding Kate, who spoke wise & well.
I too have relocated against my wishes due to price of level 2 east stand.
The way level 2 & the north stand before them have been shunted out is nothing short of outrageous & particularly sad when backed up by the happy clappers on here who have bought in to the Sheik can do no wrong !
For twelve years i have sat looking at a 3/4 full directors / exec area, not to mention the empties in the citizens / 1894 next to me, but what particularly gauls me is that these decisions for even more premium seats are being made by people as they see it, justifying their jobs & who you can bet will move on in the foreseeable future !
Its astounding with the money coming into the club through tv rights etc that long standing supporters are treated this way for the benefit of newcomers.
Im looking forward to seeing how many current season card holders upgrade to £1750.00 level 2.
I hope our Chairman in his end of season video takes these same people to task at least for the appalling transfer business over the last three years as well as the total cockup on FFP which has been nicely brushed under the carpet.
Congrats to Eccles Blue on getting a personal escort when you were injured to get away from your seat.
As chair of school of governors, i hope you dont cow tow to everyone if they do you a good turn !
Regards etc

As people who have been on the end of my scathing tongue will tell you I don't kow tow to anyone, I just told it as it was for me. It was my opinion. I wasn't injured by the way, I'd just had a major operation!

I also thought Kate made some very good points and I had a couple of negative points to make but there wasn't time to come back to me.

Oooh Eccles Blue are you Sheila? I heard some of it in the car coming home from work.

Tim, thank you for that, I was afraid I might have come across as a bit sycophantic or an apologist for the club & to be honest came away a bit down! That wasn't my intention but I did want people to know that the club haven't completely sold out (no pun intended) in my opinion.

I agree that there might have been a better way of doing it, but I also know from friends who sit in those affected areas that they were given a warning. Maybe they didn't know how much it would go up but maybe the club didn't either.

Thanks for cheering me up Tim.

I've listened to the podcast now and I thought you were a breath of fresh air Eccles Blue and a great counter to the sea of negativity and criticism on the programme. You did that without coming across as a happy clapper.

anyone listening to blue tuesday danny wilson talking about ticket prices
When will that be available for download

I wouldn't bother. just a had a drunken old woman on from the colin bell stand. bet she's only been going since 2008.

One thing I thought interesting from last night's programme was Danny WIlson's comment that there were still 800 season ticket holders in the premium seats. Given there are 1800ish seats, that implies that 1000 have moved already, and there's 100 who have expressed an interest in replacing them. That implies there's going to be at least 900 currently empty seats to fill. As the corporate bits in the CB aren't full currently, it'll be interesting to see if that happens.

I have just moved us from 106 east stand to the gods in new south stand..question of competing financial priorities..anyway all in 299 for us two and 160 for our Loz.so almost same price for three of us as it was for just me in 106. Hope I can see the pitch haha.

Pablo, thank you so much, that has made my day. As I said I was concerned about how I sounded but that has cheered me up again. :-)

Oakie Coakie, I noted the change from clapper to slapper and will fight you behind the bike sheds at a later date!! ;-)
