the more i read this thread the more i consider myself very lucky to escape the cull. i thought i wanted bar facilities etc but to be told you are having them or move would annoy me. if i move from my seat it will be MY choice, and that will come because my eyes are getting worse. so i may take up the posh seats but it will be on the half way like, i wont spend 1500 quid if i can't see the other end :)

Should have gone to Specsavers.Up in the Gods CB3 I`m knackered if I ever forget my specs,as the buggers would only look like ants.

I'd be disappointed if the club were hoping the current hoi polloi would shift to make way for bigger wallets

It is what it is, City are a country mile behind any other club with our aspirations, in terms of corporate facilities and seats, so they were always going to expand it. The new upper tiers at both ends will allow this to take place, allowing cheaper tickets for those of us who they see as loyal, and the club get the best of both worlds, far more corporate or day tripper types, while holding onto the majority of the fan base. losing a small few, who view a seat they rent, as their own property won't worry the club. Most in the areas will move out, leaving the club to fill the void with high spenders, the few that stay will give the club more of their hard earned, so win win.

Those that move will contribute the same or less by moving, but at the same time, will vacate seats so that they can expand the 'customer' base, again win win.

For those that decide to move, they can have the same priced or cheaper seats, win win for them too.

For those that decide its too much, as a few in this thread have said, then its their loss, and all over a seat position.

I've been called "all right jack" for this opinion, and saying "its only a seat", fine, but I'll still be watching City live next season, and will hopefully have made it cheaper for myself, win win for me, my lad, and a mate, so yes, I'll be all right, and in the next few years I look forward to watching City bring through some of their own to be at the top of world football, and all at a cheaper cost than watching us win the league twice in three years. Win win as far as I see it.

I'm in 207, and mine has gone up from £875 to £1600 - an 81% increase.

We were always aware there was going to be a steep rise, and were going to be forced to move but £1600 is still a shock. I'll be surprised if anyone remains there at those prices.

Just 81%? Nah, more than that..

Gold adult in 207 this year is £835. So that makes the increase over 91%....

That was the point of it. Some will stay but there's no doubt in my mind that they'll fill what is, after all, a small part of the ground.

I think people are looking at this all wrong, I don't see it as a price rise in those seats but more of a consolidation of the pricing tiers with a whole new rich kids tier added with all the bells and whistles. They had to put it somewhere with access to certain facilities which meant someone was going to have to move (unless they 're happy to pay it). With the expanded stand there's no lack of alternative cheaper or similar priced seats and I expect in a couple of years or so we'll all being having the same conversation when they expand the North stand with premium seats on the other side of the corporates.

On the whole I can't complain, I'm row J in Block 104 and get my season ticket cheaper by £25 from the guy sat behind me. I get wet, he doesn't so I'll take that as compensation

Any way my question. Is the new "singing section" all behind the goal now all standing? It doesn't actually say.

In my experience the flappy hands stewards were too daft* in thinking they would get into trouble for not flapping their hands, so they did it. The majority just do what they are supposed to do, watch the match.

*Or some may have needed the money due to personal circumstances.

It depends on MCC first and foremost but City tend to turn a "blind eye" to the standing around the South Stand,but sometimes it appears that Showtecs heavy handed approach causes more problems than need be,as they tend to pick on the vulnerable by all accounts.

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this yet, but while we've been concentrating on the team and have taken our eyes off next seasons season ticket prices until last week when the new prices where released by the club, it maybe safe to say the hospitality team and ticket office have been ringing around numerous (blue chip) companies in and around Gtr Manchester and further afield to gauge interest in the new corp seats/sections on level 2. For all we know the club may have already provisionally sold x amount of seats. I appreciate that the club want know exact vacant seat figures until fans stay or relocate, but they must know there will be a large exodus from level 2. And judging by this thread they won't be wrong.
