There'll be a fair few blues priced out and no doubt plenty of empty seats next season but I'm sure the management know that and feel any gains are worth alienating some fans.

There again maybe we'll sign Messi and the stadium will be packed.

I'm hoping for the latter but expecting the former.

Nobody will be priced out. The only big increases are the level 2 increases and they are the ones who will get the pick of the stadium and will probably pay less than they do now. Some may decide they don't want to sit anywhere else, fair enough but they haven't been priced out. Everywhere else people seem to have had small increases or stayed the same.
If there are empty seats they would be in the vacated level 2 seats, but I don't expect the club came up with the expensive seat prices and packages without any market research.

More than a few have already been priced out. These increases have been going on for the last few seasons. Each one may be quite small but together they add up.

It hasn't affected me but I do feel for those who have had to give up their season tickets.

frank are you David Conn in disguise?

Are there any redeeming features of Manchester City Football Club, apart from the ones you've listed below

ps you missed out massive somewhere, perhaps you've already mentioned the massive increases or the massive liberty they're taking

As I said in a previous post fans feel it necessary to defend the club and due to the input and success over the past years it is understandable to a certain extent. As highlighted by your comments it is easier to categorise or infer fans are United supporters than refute the points made by those critical of the clubs current trajectory.

I have turned full circle in relation to this issue of late so I will not criticise others who have not. Yes I do not like the corporate side of the football club but that is only one aspect of the club. Hopefully football, not just City, will have a wake up call before the relationship between a football club and its community is lost forever.

I was lucky as a kid, I would trundle down to Platt lane watch the players train, wait outside the front entrance, collect autographs, receive a wave of Andy Dibble and receive a season ticket in the kippax for £40 for my birthday. To me is seems a shame a whole generation of local kids will miss out on this opportunity.

I will retain the right to criticise, on a forum, a policy I think is detrimental to the values which I would like the club to uphold and in my opinion marginalises a large support of our fan base even further. What is the point of success if those who have followed the club for years are intending to walk away?

Anyway continue with your cheapshots and sly insults its a lot easier than debating the issue of increased price rises, the neccessity of them and the influence on the fanbase.
Actually I have never once said you are a rag in here, I actually accused you of being a Conn, much worse imo, as your diatribe about walking down to Platt Lane clearly evidences.
No you used the line

"ps you missed out massive somewhere, perhaps you've already mentioned the massive increases or the massive liberty they're taking"

which everybody knows is a reference to someone supporting United.

Perhaps you prefer the piss and shit of the Kippax Street when boys kicked a rolled up bundle of socks together as a football, life moves on, and whilst I understand some prefer to hanker for the past I feel nothing but pity for an lucid person that can't move with the times and live in the present day but instead prefer to wallow in that self pity whilst attempting to drag us all down their to their level

No you are correct society moves on and not one person has asked for a return to the kippax or even £40 tickets. You have thrown that extreme in to validate your point. What people are objecting to is the continual increases in ticket prices. Society has moved on all over europe and many clubs, without the huge tv deals, are able to offer supporters tickets more cost-effective ticket prices in relation to overall earnings. So yes society can move on, but I do not see why we have to accept that has to affect many negatively rather than a model which is more inclusive, in my opinion, than the one being offered ast City.

And i will continue to put my views forward and criticise those moaning c**ts who are here deliberately trolling a forum to denigrate the club for their own pathetic little agenda
Especially when the poster uses such vindictive invective that is too easily refuted by looking at some of the fact available

I am not sure I have every suggested you should not post your views on the subject. In fact I would suggest your stance and insults are more of an attempt at closing debate rather than visa versa. Secondly their is no trolling involved. I genuinely feel the club should could do more to be more inclusive and I welcome the £299 tickets. It is a view shared by many on this thread and what is the point in a forum if it is not to debate decisions made by the club which could have a profound affect on so many of the fanbase?

Evening David, I've got to run as the wife's just been to the scullery and cooked us up some fine fish on the fire.

Enjoy your fish.

mine was £780
it's gone up £20 to £800

20/780 x % = 2.56% increase

where do people get all the 5% and 10% increase from?

as for level 2, they said over five years ago this was on the cards, it's not like you haven't had time to sort out a change, and you also have first dibs at relocation in the stadium which, as someone who is trying to get his whole family together is a bit of a piss take (we can all find something to moan about)

It's not just level 2 seeing some significant increase - ours on level 3 is up £55 on last year and 2 rows in front is up £105 on last year, that's more than 10% & 21% increase respectively.

I also have been trying to get my family seats together, with no success for the last two years, but as you previously said we knew the price hike was coming so why are we moaning ill tell you why £885 to £1600 and £450 to £1000 is a complete piss take
So you knew from the beginning that certain blocks were going to be consolidated into different price ranges and you still moan? I think most people not happy on here are working under the assumption that it is their seat. It isn't, it belongs to the club and you just rent it for a season.

There is (from a quick look) only 7½ blocks priced over a grand, there will no doubt be City fans who can afford that and be happy to pay it. If you can't or don't want to there are plenty of options elsewhere at a much lower price.

I haven't time now but has anyone made an estimate to how many seats in each price tier? I would guess that it looks a lot better than some people on here would find convenient to suit their particular agenda.
a voice of reason

it seems the price rise for most, excluding premium seats, is about £20 or so

some made it out to be a lot more, but fair play to them they came back and said they were wrong

i can see why level 2 are upset, but they have know it was coming

but hey, according to frankie boy the club hates its fans and is here just to take the piss

There does come a time though that these endless £20 or so increases have to stop. As I pointed out earlier the seats where I sit have risen by 49% in 5 years. That is some increase and not affected by premium seating(yet!!!)

They could have frozen seat prices in all other parts of the ground bearing in mind the revenue coming from 7000 extra seats and the new premium areas.

It seems the club never miss a trick to squeeze an extra quid here and there. Platinum, cup games gone from £15 for early rounds to £20 or £25. Beer up, food up etc etc.....

I don't think anyone can be too surprised if there are a few empty seats especially in the CL games.

£20 isn't a lot in one year but £350 in 5 years is fairly steep.

Our club is not perfect, who is?

The custodians of our club and the people who work for them are not perfect.

But you are deluded or just a moaner if you seriously think they are not trying their best. All the evidence points that way. Maybe they came with an agenda of using our name to further Abu Dhabi's but it is also clear that City is getting into their heart's too.

We are all in this together and we should give the custodians the benefit of the doubt as they have done pretty good by us so far.

They obviously listen and change when they can evidenced many times.

Together we are stronger.

CTIDCTID.

no one is moaning about some of the great things they've done for the club. This about ticket prices though and if your priced out or have ridiculous increases are you not allowed to moan or be angry ? We aren't all in this together at all, only the ones that can afford it. Its like your worshipping them. Not everything they do is good and continually pricing out long standing fans is disgraceful. If season tickets go up to 2000 would you still be worshipping them no matter what ?
i was under the impression form your previous posts that you weren't a season ticket holder?

im not this season , can't afford it anymore, mainly cup games now. I care about fair ticket deals and want fans to be able to see football live still. Glad to see you've been reading and remembering my posts haha. id love to still be able to go as would the thousands of other fans in the same situation I'm in

I am not allowed to have opinion on it

Hi Goatfood.

Long time since the 'luxury' hostel in Kiev.

Sadly the increase in prices each season seems to be the norm and fans are becoming squeezed more and more. It must be increasing frustrating, particularly for those, one row away form the price demarcation line paying the greater price.

Re: Season Card Reservation,New ST etc 2015/16 Season.

I understand level 2 people pissed off ,but if there is a demand for 1600 quid tickets where should the club put these people?

Me too mate not so much for the people on level 2,though £1600 plus to watch 19 games of football is eye watering in my opinion, but chances are they'll move somewhere cheaper. I feel for lots of lads who are proper blues but simply haven't got match day price money or enough spare for season cards pity small areas of standing terrace can't be allowed where it could be say £20 to £25 pay on the gate that way we might even have a ground with atmosphere, that way we could do away with pipe music fireworks flying budgies or whatever and enjoy the football.

Time will tell if they've got this right sitting at the back of 109 I won't be able to see but I'm sure every televised game the camera's will point out the gaps.
