Season Card Reservations/Relocations Direct Debit update 11/6

Re: Season Card Reservation,New ST etc 2015/16 Season.

I will get over the doubling of the Season Card price in 206 and find another seat.

I agree with Ric pointing out the big price increases on Twitter. The price hikes are not isolated incidents. I can't remember too many of the "I''m Alright Jack Crew" celebrating finding it hard to get tickets for Chelski - partly because the corporate Thames river cruisers got priority.

Be careful what you wish for. The efforts of administrators to seek corporate ticket sales will only get more desperate. In the unlikely event that we make the Champs League final one year, loyalty points won't be worth a lot of when tickets can be used as a carrot to seek corporate season cards.

The Skeikh and Khaldoon have done a lot of great things for which I will always be grateful. The people they have employed have come up Forever Blue, City Circles and priced out many lifelong fans!

If a fan can't afford any of the tickets on offer at City then they have been priced out of football full stop - by the game itself - not by City administrators. They may have been priced out of their current seat but that's because the best seats have been comparatively under priced for years. You can have the old prices as long as you accept a decrepit ground , no trophies & Pearce -esque football.

I'd be surprised if the new corporate/hospitality seats on L2 won't come with a guarantee of cup final/away tickets.

So even the "I'm alright Jack" brigade might find themselves missing out in the near future.

Thanks CC1

The fact is that some Blues have been priced out. I am not talking about Premier Seats in this respect.

Of course current season ticket holders can move to areas of the ground where season cards are cheaper. This might make financial sense for the Club and PB and others have rightly pointed out that we lag behind some other clubs in terms of corporate revenue. I liked his idea of a phased approach to the biggest price hikes. This would have given Club administrators the time to build up demand for the new corporate areas and would keep Blues who can afford to pay some more keep their current seats with friends and family for a while longer.

The track record of the administrators in trying to corporatise City has been dismal so don't expect this new corporate area to be a great success

What a shame that some people believe this is/should be the case.

Should we all get discounts if we don't win anything this year?

Billions have poured into the game in the last decade. Everyone has got their cut except the one group that made the game what it is.

And they're being asked to do more again.

Re: Season Card Reservation,New ST etc 2015/16 Season.

If the cost has to go up then i have no argument with that, as the club as to do whatever fits their financial model..

The big mistake they have made is some prices have reduced and some have increased in the same stand..

That stratagy is just plain stupid and whoever signed that off should be sacked IMO..

Either everybodys ticket price go up or everybodys ticket price go down, that is the only fair way..

Re: Season Card Reservation,New ST etc 2015/16 Season.

Received my seasoncard warning letter / reservation and renewal pack this morning. With the price hike I'm getting with the program and working out where to move to. I realise I'm old fashioned to value community and solidarity and am going to miss the friendships I've developed over the years but this is the new shiny City and the future, it's only a seat. I seem to remember that a bunch of people behind me are planning to move en masse but won't be able to discuss that until the next home game. So, anyone who is currently in block 209, any ideas where they are thinking of moving to?

Re: Season Card Reservation,New ST etc 2015/16 Season.

Maurizio, you are right about friendship and solidarity. That is why I would have been willing to take a price hike along the lines the administrators wrote to us a few years back. However, doubling the prices in 206 means no one from this season will be able to afford it.

A mate is trying to get me to move to 209 for the £1,200 odd seats. He mentioned a lot were moving out of 209 but he doesn't know where to yet!

Re: Season Card Reservation,New ST etc 2015/16 Season.

I get my ST this summer after being on the waiting lists for two seasons. I did it pretty early and I'm at the start of the 5000+ and counting lot in the queue. I reckon 1000 or so will drop out now due to cost of STs.

I think people are entitled to moan but the club has extended cheaper seats and will repeat this again in a few seasons. City are catering for a wide demographic of fans. Rich and poor. For me, I'll simply work an extra Saturday a month and that will cover the whole cost of the ST.

Football is a joke when it comes to value for money, but just about everything I enjoy is being crippled by capitalism and getting out of hand. A decent fight ticket is 100 nowadays, parking 10+ and a burger 4-5 a pop. I took my little uns to sea life centre the other day, cost me 70! I

Just one of those things I suppose. If you can't afford. Watch on TV (way overpriced again so catch xmbc and watch nbcsports) and spend your money on the family.
