When the owners came in they said we would be challenging the top clubs around the world. We are not even competing in our own league in the transfer market and on the pitch this season.
They have raised season ticket in East stand from approx 500 to 1100-1700, 3 years ago you could get a junior season ticket in East stand for £95. Arsenal have a massive following in Rich London, we are trying to attract new fans whilst raising season ticket prices to match Arsenals.
If we are not right at the top of the English game the i feel City will struggle to fill the stadium with the xtra seats. I know there are cheap tickets but not everyone wants to sit up on level 3 miles away from the pitch. I can't understand why anyone who wants to see a football match would sit virtually below pitch level.

No I wasn't pissed and i stand by what i said. The season ticket hike is bad but was sort of expected but they have brought in price rises of around 10-15% in the East stand for the last 3 years.
We have gone from being the dominant force over the last 3 years to also rans out of both cups by lower league opposition, attrocious performance at home to barca and absolute mediocrity most of the time in the league. We have gone backward each year which is now showing as the clubs along side us are starting to spend much more wiser.
I guess the comparison with Arsenal is a little off but we are a north west club were money is a factor to a lot of people. Yes I know you can get cheap tickets but if you ant to watch from the gods then it's up to you. I guess we'll see in the next few years if the owners have got it right.
I do hope they have as I've been a season ticket holder for nearly 40 years and wouldn't want 5000 empy seats at matches
They have not raised tickets in the East stand from £500 to £1,750,. That is just pure bollocks, they're introduced a whole new (very small) price tier where the folk who can afford it get all the bells & whistles. Good luck to them. Correct me if i'm wrong but surely the full length of level 2 on the east and west stands are more than 600??

Arsenals cheapest ST is just over a grand (note, the cheapest) with the dearest over 2 grand. There appears to be (going of the 3D seat viewer) just 380 seats maximum priced at the £1,750 level with maybe 1,300 of the premium seats available (£1,150 to £1,750) out of 55,000. That's just 2.4% of the total not the 100% at the Emirates. To compare the two is just folly.

As the priced out have first and third pick before any new arrivals i'd say they have every chance of a ticket in whatever price range they like, especially taking into account the seats in groups made available from those that are relocating to the new singing blocks and the seats made available from those that went to viagogo to sell.LoveCity said:Are the priced out not trying to relocate before giving up? Many of the "I`m alright jacks" on here state mines only going up £50 so cant complain ! Thats well above inflation year on year and on the back of the biggest TV deal ever.
People say City will have staff who have done their homework to check demand. Then why are the 2 boxes behind block 210 only occupied for so called big games? And please dont say these boxes are already paid for by a company because it`s City who TRY and sell them on a match-day basis . And then end up filling them with sport clubs and school kids for many un popular games.
These staff in suits are probably the very same who overseen the family stand fiasco, or the City Circle embarrassment or the ticket office staff recruitment or even the recent transfer signings.
Who ever is lucky enough to pay £1300 for my seat next season will get a better view of the corner flag than the half way line. But don`t worry you can read your "FREE" program. Or drink your "FREE" beer.And you will have chance to sober up while you wait to exit your "FREE" car park space.
It used to be City Till I Die, but more and more are either City Till I`m Priced Out, or City While My Boss Can Pay For These Seats.
