Season ticket payments - refunds/credits due by June 19th

The last point you make will be interesting because it is a bit of a habit to many.
Habit broken already in our house. i said to my lot thousands will follow suit. VAR , virus, UEFA corruption etc will drive people away. its over.

one thing would save the club to a degree.
tell all season card holders to renew right now and charge 1p to renew. no refunds, no stopping DD's. that way some will retain an interest.they will buy pies beer etc. we lose a years S/C money, pennies to our club.

No that's fair enough if it definitely is the way it will be done, but my lad has sold tickets via the club /viagogo or whatever it is,a season or two back, and for example got more for the Arsenal game than he did for West Brom,so got me thinking, that's all.

Put it this way I'd have got £60 on here if I sold my Liverpool game for my seat, but probably £30 for say Newcastle as like the old times of categories A-B-C.

But I'll take your word for it,in that case I'd be owed £285 x 2
City ditched viagogo a couple of years ago, the current sell your ticket is run by City themselves, you get back a nineteenth of the cost back if your ticket sells, into your bank account. I unfortunately had to use it a few times this year due to Mrs maccieblue being in hospital. Think 3 out of 4 sold and I got the money within days, the other didn't sell so I got nothing.

Yea,I've never done it personally, just sold on here to be fair,my lad did though a few year back

Has any other club started to give refunds for season tickets yet?

I think there will be a standard approach from teams once it's confirmed when matches will start again and that they will be behind closed doors.

It's not ideal but I'm not sure what else they can do to make it a fair playing field for those who did pay upfront

I understand Spurs have already sold season cards at increased prices for next season. City have already said they will look after us (including refunds if there is no more live football watched by fans this season) and I tend to believe we will he looked after based on past experience.

I agree. Clubs will be worried about people not being able to afford to go, and probably more importantly, those who have been going out of habit for years finding out they are not actually missing it (heard so many people from many different clubs saying this) and giving it up.

I think you are right dukybkue. I also think it would be good if the people who begrudge going to the games (and do so out of habit) stopped going or focused their attendance on the glamour games. I know the administrators of City would regret the lost season card income but it would give us a chance to grow a more enthusiastic fanbase.

That sounds like a good idea Bill. It seems unlikely that we will be able to go back into grounds until the new year so (so deducting refunds we’ve been promised) the Ub might only be forgoing about a sixth of this year’s season card price. (We expect a third refunded or discounted from next year’s season card price and half the season is likely to be behind closed doors).

Have all the direct debit payments been taken or is there one in May? My bank account is showing an upcoming payment due to MCFC.

It seems to me that the official club stance is that we haven't got an official club stance, so instead we tend to believe whoever sounds the most confident.
That's what happens when you don't communicate and hide behind the Premier League's indecision.

Yeah City should base their actions on guesswork or whatever will please the punters rather than wait for any consensus or actual facts
