Season Ticket Renewals - small increases (again)

So why do you think we gave him one more year ?My guess would be so instead of him leaving for nothing now we get a small fee for him. Or do you think it was just for a laugh.

We'll probably end up getting less for him than he got for that 1 year contract extension. ;-)

Don't think they want me to renew. Getting an error message telling me that I've made an invalid selection. I can't select 93:20 if I'm gold or platinum or something. I'm not selecting 93:20 though.

A smooth transaction as normal.

Check the right hand corner, if the tickets are in the basket then press it and it should let you continue. I had the same issue.

Why do you keep trying to isolate this £800,00 income? They don't have a spreadsheet with 'increase in ST sales' and a 2nd column next to it which has a heading of 'what we'll spend it on'. it all goes in to the same (big) pot to run the club on.

And claims that people are getting priced out? Yes of course some people will get priced out, I'm afraid that's life, things do change. Considering our attendance figures, not to mention the expansion plans, I'm afraid it's not going to change either.

Because in the grand scheme of things £800k makes little or no difference to the club, compared to what it means to the fans. Financially and on princiapl.

As I keep on pointing out, if City had frozen season ticket prices, especially after such an expensive season for City fans, it would have been a great gesture by the club, and would have rounded off a fantastic season.

Once again, fans will be looking for cheaper seats, and dropping cup schemes, platinum, etc, because of another price rise

Wouldn't it have been great after *11 consecutive season ticket price rises*, that the club would have at least frozen season ticket prices for next season. (not reduced them)

There are numerous ways City could have saved or found £800k over a season on other things at the club. Things that the fans aren"t arsed about. Things that are less important than another season ticket price rise.

Here's one for you. City used to employ Girls to hand out flags from the wheelie bins at the back of the South Stand. That's right, to hand out flags. City don't do that anymore. That's just 1 example of money being wasted on things that didn't need money wasting on.

I fully appreciate the club has to drive revenue. But there are plenty of other ways the club could have found or saved £800k next season, instead of increasing season ticket prices once again.

Let's see if City raise season ticket prices again in 2020/21.

If they can, they will. City are run as a business. There's no escaping it.

Didn't they freeze the ticket prices in 2016?

I think everyone shares the sentiment that football tickets are horrendously expensive but I think it's just a fact of life that City are going to increase them by about 5% a year until the average ticket price is the same as United/Arsenal/Spurs/Chelsea/Liverpool.

They don't view it as 800,000 for next season, they look at where they were in 2011 and where they'll be in 2021 and with an average increase of 5% that'll be with aobut 60% extra ticket revenue every single year.

The relatively small amount of money raised in increases will probably be lost in goodwill and subsequently match day food/drink/shop sales.
