Season Tickets - 2023/24

Totally get that but the club have disconnected from what matters and fans matter. It's nice to have overseas fans, visitors and the like but as a club we're drawing in more than the people of Manchester. Why laugh at the train loafs at Old Trafford if we're heading the same way?

Business is business but the TV pot money, the transfers and all that have covered much before... and those numbers get bigger every season. Nobody wants a return to mediocre seasons but likewise why build the CFA across the way, and have everything if the fans can't stay close or access it? It isn't spoilt or entitlement to view prices as already too high then question the next increase? 30 quid away tickets was a start and sadly that momentum to make football affordable slid down. Yeah gigs, music and other entertainment shoots up, buy City is something many of us were indoctrinated into, and walking away isn't an option. Voicing opinion is, even if Franny Lee, Wardle and Swales maybe the only ones listening.
Our ticket prices compared to many other Premier League sides really aren't that bad at all. I also don't think that the club has disconnected from the fans at all, in fact I'd say that they are probably the best team in the league at staying connected.

Not sure any of that invalidates my point. Which is, it seems to be the people saying they are "hard core" and go to loads of home and away games but are missing out on this one cos they cant afford a season ticket. The two don't add up.

It’s the overall cost.

If it was only 19 games per season you and others would have a valid point, but it never is, especially with a good and successful team. Most of us arguing the toss will go to most of the home games in every competition, maybe the away games and finals as well? Bar ticket prices, factor in travel, food, drink, hotel, and time off work costs. When you do all of that, it isn’t £760 a season in my case. Yes, I choose to support City and spend that money, but that doesn’t make it any cheaper next season. A season ticket price freeze would have been welcomed. That’s it again. And has been for the last 10 seasons of continual season ticket price rises.

You are tone deaf because you are equating it to a pound a week without factoring in a cost of living crisis which strips household income further.

You're a Moss Side boy like me and you come out with this shit?

Yep, we all work hard to get out of the gutter, but that doesn't mean we forget those people who aren't that far from it.

I, like many others, are also responsible to pay for others, which puts further strain on the commitment to keep watching City.

It's disgusting in a cost of living crisis in a city like Manchester when some people are counting every penny coming in to household.

It's disgusting and tone deaf.

City have absolutely no reason to have done this at such a time.

I've cut back enough since Covid killed my business, I don't want to cut back on City as well.

I find you getting stressed about a pound a week as bat shit crazy as you find my tone deaf response. I actually cannot comprehend getting worked up about a pound a week rise on something that is not compulsory and I have had times in my life where I have no money to eat for several days! The irony when you get giddy posting music videos about us signing Bellingham for £130 million!!

And as for your comment about forgetting others genuinely that is below the belt / have spent several thousand pounds this year on giving free city tickets and hospitality to others. I paid for someone off here’s season ticket for 8 years so he could enjoy City! I paid £200 for a Fulham ticket today for someone I don’t even know as I promised I would sort him out with one and I got let down. So please don’t throw that one at me as you could not be further from the truth.

I find the attack on the club really distasteful.

It’s a pound a week!!

Any reason you think that?

If you think that then you're way out of touch with reality, pal. If you can afford the increases fine, many can't without having to cut their cloth in another place in order to continue paying for SCs and match day tickets.
