Acceptable to who? Why does it matter if the seat can be used by anybody who wants it

we are not going to agree , why do you think the club don't issue new STs? . When they looked at the data once we went fully digital and not card access it showed a significant minority only attended the more glamorous games and either put them on the exchange or transferred them and quite a few just left unused . So getting all the benefits that comes with them ie: Cheaper home tickets access to away , European & cup finals without attending

Because they value individual match goers more than season ticket holders. Even the ones that have sustained the club for decades. No other reason, don't blame season ticket holders for the clubs greed.

FWIW, anyone that goes to less than 10 home games a year and doesn't list on the exchange isn't getting a financial benefit. The club rip off individual match goers but not that much.

Cheers mate, I remember that now from last Year, annoyingly my emails weren't coming through so never received anything after I registered interest. I do remember saying it was a bloody nightmare as they relocated next to an empty seat 5 times and still couldn't get one for their kid as it had then been relocated into once they had confirmed their choices, its really difficult.

Make sure your email address is up to date and pay attention to all the emails. last time it was hidden in a yellow button on the email.

With the short time between the two dates I suspect they will not be doing this registering of interest this time. Maybe they have looked at the numbers eligible / the quantity who registered interest last time and have decided they can honour everyone.

I have renewed today and I would now like to relocate my ticket on Friday 19th May, along with my pal who sits next to me.
Problem we have got is he is away in Japan on that date,so he will be unable to relocate his season card on line.
Does anybody know/advice me if I can relocate the pair of us at the same time.( He is on my friends and family list ).
Cheers in advance if anyone can help me.

I've not done it myself for our group but I think if your mate is 'strongly linked' you should be able to do it.

Can anyone explain what was wrong with the system we had in place, where you could transfer a ticket to friends and family ???

The majority of seasoncard holders were happy using the exchange if they were unable to fill the seat via friends & family.

The Club & moneymen obviously don't like the various ticket exchanges on Facebook & Twitter. Had they only tightened up the friends & family, the majority of seasoncard holders wouldn't be affected.

If the club have all this insightful data surely the club could go after touts (presumably the ones that arent club partners) and leave genuine blues alone?

The reason they don't is because they don't want to.

Actually they don't the club value the STs as vital to how the club operates , some ST holders don't care about not getting full value as the cost of getting 6 or 7 individual match tickets is close to ST cost and of course gets you access to other glam games
Anyway believe what you want and it's all about greed and the city board are evil which are both not true

Trust me when I say this, this is from my personal experience, go to the reception of the ticket office, located in City store, sit on one of the stools they have in front of them,don't move, and explain exactly what you want to happen.

If you try to do it online, forget it, you won't be sat together next season, go in person it will get sorted, but give yourself an hour or two to play with.

Deadly serious mate, I did it last year (August 12th to be precise).

Doesn't say much for your argument that you have to invent an accusation that the City board are evil when I've never suggested they were.

Cheers pal. I actually spoke to my pal Rob about it a couple of hours ago.
I said then I would go to the ticket office early next week ( I live in Newton Heath,so it's only a couple of miles away) and get their advice.
And as you suggest go back to them on the renewal day( May 19th) and sort it out in front of them.

I'll go through the procedure from the link you provided and get him strongly linked, and hopefully that will help us to both relocate.

If you bought two with a family member would the seats be next to each other?

Two of us bought Value STs together for the first five years that they did them. Every year they would reiterate that there was no guarantee they would be together but every single year they were.

Just make sure you order them both in the same transaction and ask them to request they’re together if possible.
