Season Tickets - 2025/26 | Changes to ticket transfer this season (p101)

You still haven't explained why you think only turning up for 9 games is acceptable to buy a season ticket . Every empty seat is depriving someone being able .

personally attending is the actual point of you having a season ticket
Who exactly suffers from someone having a season ticket but using it less than ten times a season provided they either put it on the exchange or transfer it to someone else when they can’t use it? Other fans? No, they have the chance to use the seat. The club? They’ve sold the seat anyway and they have the chance to make more money out of it than they would if the season ticket holder used it. Another fan who’d take the season ticket instead? Not possible at the moment. I don’t understand why any fellow fan would support the policy, the only aim of which is to reduce the number of season ticket holders

IF you can't attend 10 games over a season why have a season ticket? thats what i did years ago at Maine Road, i gave it up.

Ive done 18 games but system is saying Ive not, Ive had to send in proof that all tickets were purchased emails and bank statements so I can upgrade from Flexi its a shambles.

What you on about?

Would have thought it's fairly obvious.

If all I have to do is tell the club I was working, or travelling or sick to keep my ticket, what is the actual point of forcing people to go through that process.

Unless you're going to have to provide proof, or the clubs going to spend time investigating claims it seems an utter waste of everyone's time to go through that process.

Which makes we wonder why they are doing it. Either it's because it won't be as easy as some say to keep your ticket, or the club are just banking on making supporters feel so shit they walk away.

Either option is pretty piss poor by the club.

Watch out all. Season ticket police on the thread.
How the fuck can you say that? Everyones circumstances are individual.
So you think it is right to discriminate against people who struggle with work, health, distance etc who maybe can't attend???

No they want bums on seats, otherwise thousands of season ticket holders won't turn up, you don't get a season ticket so you can watch United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea...

This is my main issue with it. It's being dressed up as a way of helping out more City fans get to the games when in reality it's just to reduce ST holders and extinguish the face value sites. If the confiscated season tickets were then given to new season ticket holders I'd be more understanding of it.

Exactly. What right do the club have to know someones personal health details. Totally discriminative and I would potentially say against the law under the discrimination act..

The aim is to get those who have a season ticket to attend, or at least get them to get the seat used, either through the exchange when it sells, or a friend or family attends. I don't particularly support the policy, but it's an easy one to understand.

Because of where I currently live, and the shifts I currently work, I often can't attend when they make short notice fixture changes (my shifts are arranged 3 months in advance, and pretty difficult to change once set in stone), and I'm sure many others are in the same/similar situations.

Because I know I have a seat for the games I can get to and I know my son has a seat next to me for the games he can get to and I don’t have to buy tickets individually at inflated prices only to find the game has been shifted or a rail strike has been announced or I fall victim at short notice to one of the many afflictions that the over-seventies suffer. Is there any other organisation that tries to penalise its customers (which we now are) for not making use of something they’ve paid for? I don’t expect the barman to come running after me shouting Oy, you haven’t finished that pint, someone else might have enjoyed that.

It's yet another way the directors can try and whittle down the number of season ticket holders. There's no other reason for this new 10 games you have to attend or you will lose your season ticket plan.

Health, travel, work, study. Millions of reasons. Loads of which have been pointed out here.

Some pricks are just oblivious to real life.

Either that or their entire lives literally revolve around a football club and they sacrifice everything else in pursuit of it.

Which is more than a bit sad.
