Season Tickets - 2025/26 | Changes to ticket transfer this season (p101)

I don’t know what’s worse, the shenanigans about people deciding they do or don’t want to go to Wembley, or the trifle in here.
Can we just all agree that if football was 19 home games played at 3pm on a Saturday, then most people would attend most games. And that the club has created a scouse like ‘hold on to your ST coz you won’t get another’ scenario.
This isn’t the fault of any fan, or season ticket holder, whether they attend 5 10 15 or all 19 games. It’s also the clubs decision to hike the price of resales, which should be going to other blues not as fortunate regards ST’s at a decent price, again not the fault of the ST holder. I’ve never read as much blue on blue nonsense, it’s the PL Tv companies and Manchester City fc that are responsible, not Dave the STH holder of 30 years who’s fallen on hard times with his health or has to work a shift, when did we get so petty?

Pride in battle is has clearly not thought this through. I love City but these measures are simply draconian. If all kick offs were Saturday 3pm for example and.people could plan travel accomodation etc ahead then perhaps but they aren't. That new stand will be full of tourists who will pay top dollar for a weekend experience at the etihad. Tours, ticket, glass walk over the roof, it is going to be the biggest white elephant ever.

Having just read the details of the pricing and operation of the Flexi ticket, the solution to all of this suddenly becomes even more obvious. If you buy a flexi ticket and attend every one of the 19 games, you'd pay the same as a gold ST ticket holder for the matches + £150. So, if the £150 disappeared, flexi ticket holders are in exactly the same position as gold ST holders. From a cashflow point of view, actually a better position. The club have some certainty on how many tickets they can resell to other blues/schoolkids from Scotland/hairdressers from Saudi...

So the club need to remove (or at very least reduce significantly) the admin charge of £150, and make some guarantees about the number of flexi tickets available, and the ability to renew them in the future.

Does away with the need for the 10 match appearance business, does away with other controls...

What am I mising here? Other than issues over match day ticket pricing, away fans in the home end, metrolink and other transport issues etc

If its genuine ie illness, not in a million years will you lose your season ticket.
You can't reason with them they feel entitled to a season ticket , even when they don't use it and come up with excuses as to why only turning up for 1/2 the games is impinging on their human rights . They forget the season ticket is sold at a discounted price to reward loyalty for attending. The other argument is thousands of st holders will be affected when in fact it's only a few & those who give a genuine reason are given dispensation.

We understand that unforeseen changes in circumstance may impact your ability to attend 10 Premier League home matches. Therefore, if at any point you think it would be beneficial to talk to us about your ability to regularly attend matches, or you would like to share any relevant information relating to your specific circumstances, then we ask that you contact us as soon as you are able to do so.

This from the renewal site...

Weasley words or genuine understanding.... you decide!

It's not about human rights, it's about the club treating its supporters like shit.

And nosy cunts thinking they have a right to know every little detail about why someone may or may not have gone to a game in person that they have paid the club money for.

don't buy a season ticket if you don't want to attend a minimum 10 games , it's not like they expect you to go every to every game . Your season ticket is sold to you a a discount for your loyalty in attending but it would appear that some on here can't grasp the concept of that .

It is discounted because for years when we was renewing, we showed our loyalty of not even knowing what league we might be in. Back in the day you would pay up front and you got rewarded. Nowadays you can pay monthly and it is just the in thing to have a discount for your loyalty. If you have a season ticket you are entitled to do what you want with it. The club were never arsed back in the day when there wasn't the uptake, yet now when they can make money on your ticket we have to abide by a load of new rules. Ironic considering we all complain about new rules coming in to hamper our club.

Your buying 19 tickets that's why it discounted, not because you or I were attending when we were crap. Your season ticket has always had terms & conditions as per mine from 1999/2000 when we were shite 1000006168.jpg

Thanks fella, i have just purchased new value gold and thats gone through ok. Still giving option to renew the previous one in East Level 3, but guessing when time comes, this value gold will just cancel it out?
That's right. They're just offering us the chance to keep the specific seat we were randomly allocated this year. No way I'm paying another £500, and I enjoy sitting somewhere different and chatting to different people (same reason I go to pubs).

That's a decision for me to make, not you. I don't have to prove my loyalty to anyone.

Seems like some can't grasp the idea that despite people's best intentions, sometimes life throws up a roadblock.

FFS the terms and conditions change every year & next season that's 10 games minimum which even thought I am not Einstein is just over 1/2 not all .
So why post terms and conditions from more than twenty five years ago? City have brought in a new condition which is of no benefit whatsoever to a single fan and some of us are unhappy with that. You have a perfect right not to be, but that doesn’t make either of us a numpty.

Is there any info anywhere about first season cards (flexi golds) for juniors who have only been able to attend when there is a seat available to buy somewhere in the vicinity of where your existing season card is? That's how we've been taking my Son for last few years but it's a tedious process of having to hope people will move to let us sit together (currently 2 seasoncards next to each other). Often end up buying a ticket in the same stand and him having to not use the seat and sit on my knee which is getting hard at nearly 7

Well since 1968 and after 56 years of following City and having a season ticket, I have had a message telling me that I can no longer renew my season ticket but can apply for a flexi-gold ticket if I want. Severe Crohn's Disease 11 hospital admissions and 7 operations in the past two years has caused my partner and me to miss too many games (6). We have used the ticket exchange previously last year, but on a few occasions this year haven't had time as I have gone in as an emergency, or its been the lowest of our priorities. The email says that they have been unable to contact me to discuss, but I haven't had any contact from the club. My details have never changed in the past 25 years. I did email a fella called Danny Wilson in October / November but didn't get any response. That was to let them know that I was ill and was worried about this happening. We travel over 100 miles return to get there and when I studied I was travelling over 250 miles for every game. Grew up in Moss Side and its always been my club. It has never been a hassle and it is part of my / our life. I am not sure that I am angry, I actually feel really sad and got a bit tearful when I read the email. I won't be doing the flexi-gold thing. I have always had a ticket, went home and away for 14 years and have always been proud to say I am a blue, even when we were poor. I got to Istanbul and have never missed a final so have my memories. The world is changing in many ways and its wearing me down......

Anyone else still waiting for their renewal email from the club? My daughter has had hers but nothing has arrived with me so far.

it was an example I could post last year's but I chose one when it was only 1 page .I really don't get why anyone thinks that not attending most games is acceptable.
