Seasoncard - 2021/22

Mobile ticketing is a kick in the teeth for those that don't have smart phones, as they are probably the same ones that do not have a printer at home. In the course of my job, I speak to a lot of people that still use an old phone as they only want to make calls/ send texts and also do not have the technology to print at home. Just stick to the plastic season card it has worked for years, is there really that much of a cost saving in it? It will cost more paying extra staff at the gates to deal with all the issues it will create
 
This mobile ticket could be a pain. I go to NZ for a couple of months and usually give my card to my brother in law so at least there is a bum on my seat of a supporter. Not sure how we will get around that!
The club have said there'll be options, probably print at home or they'll send out a ticket is my guess.

People are getting paranoid, this mobile ticket is simply a cost saving method BUT it is also the way the world is going. My bank is pushing Android Pay because it's more secure (no more lost cards, no more skimming). Some people actively want this as they now only need to remember their phone.

Ill be wanting a posted out ticket every game, always forgetting to charge phone and printer is fucked so I will be playing it safe.

There will be 20k fans ringing up every week for print at home as there was no option for Everton like promised without calling up which took 2/3 hours- it is ridiculous.

Ten people directly in front of me had issues getting in with mobile tickets, one they just let it. The club are creating more failure demand, and it will be a full time job dealing with it.
 
Which isn't the point, our tickets didn't work at the turnstiles, and we were waiting about 20 minutes to be let in. I've done trials of things as a career. A bad trial isn't when things go wrong if you can see straight away what the fix is. Actually a trial that goes smoothly can be the bad trial because it usually means somthings been missed that shows up when you try and go live.
So are you saying it was “a successful trial” then?
