The old system was fast, everyone had 15 years to get used to it. card out, beep, in.

Its gonna take loads longer.

not to mention the many many older folk who have no affinity for technology and possibly dont even have a phone.

I think almost everyone going to games will have a mobile phone, the problem is quite a few older fans will have a bog standard basic one they rarely use. It's there for emergencies and so the family can keep in touch. They're fucked with this new system unless they buy a new one and get someone to sort it out for them

No the tickets at Wembley had QR codes. We printed our tickets out. Let me in first scan!

Yes apparently the new way of thinking is that we can be anything we want to be. I am coming out as a seasoncard holder. For the Norwich game I will be brandishing it at gate A1.i pray you will be patient and support my repeated wiping of said card to gain entry. I appreciate there May be one or two less enlightened souls who may have less empathy with my inner struggles as the queue backs up.

I happen to live in a real world where knowledge is power. Why you think the UK government is pushing for a cashless society, it isn't to stop bank robberies by the way.
Do you not see how City could use info from the club shop, the bar, car parking and the tickets you buy to target the rich/big spenders and ignore those that don't spend?

Stopping money laundering.

I paid cash in a restaurant in Manchester last month, they did not know what to do with it, just took it into the back somewhere eventually and made no attempt to check or count so we just left.

Nope. Still gives me the option for mine but not the other, it’s greyed out
