Seasoncard Amnesty

Really not sure what you're talking about there. There's going to be tens of thousands of empty seats until this crisis has passed.

I've certainly an issue with pricing and it's going to be more of an issue when things get back to normal as I think a lot won't be returning, at least on a regular basis. I believe this situation is a good opportunity for the club and fan representatives to think very carefully about what the post-Covid landscape looks like rather than the somewhat annoying tactic of putting up prices every year by a couple of percent. There's a very obvious way to see if they've got it wrong.

What's being proposed is temporary though. You'll have the opportunity to buy a match ticket much closer to a game, on a game-by-game basis. We're still talking about how returning/passing on tickets will work. We've also seen the club's proposed pricing strategy for the current scenario and we think it's quite fair, in the context of current pricing.

I was agreeing with the poster only when the pandemic is over and things are back to normal regarding the issue of not being able to pass Seasoncards on. Currently yeh i agree everythings all over the place.

If you're saying that City are still in talks regarding Fans being able to loan their Seasoncard too Friends/Family Etc When/If photo id comes in that's fair enough and sounds positive, It would just be a big kick in the bollocks if they stopped it, and i know it's in the terms & conditions that they can do what the hell they like.

I cannot wait to see the pricing strategy and how they intend to ensure people get a fair shake.

I guess if you sit in the west stand you still pay top dollar but in the south stand, say Tier 3, these are cheaper but as we know there will be less availability

I know a lot if this is not City's fault.

But these are questions we can ask due to just not knowing.

A few mates have said no return to all fans means no football for them

I am beginning to get that feeling myself. The jumping through hoops is something I can do without

It was getting bad enough for away games pre Covid

I just moaning now

I really don't know why people keep comparing football grounds to pubs. The context is completely different. We're not a pub or cinema. You can walk into a pub and leave your phone number and you might be talking about 50 people a time. The scale we're dealing with is completely different with consequently greater challenges.

We're talking about getting over 10,000 people into and out of a stadium, manage them on the concourses, at catering outlets and on transport. And it's not an individual choice by each club but something agreed between the clubs and the appropriate authorities. It may be quite prescriptive at first but could change depending on events. If we have outbreaks of Covid-19 that can be traced to games then they'll have to stop allowing fans in. Or it could go off without a hitch and certain restrictions relaxed. So it may seem OTT but it's quite understandable that there's a very conservative strategy to start with.

Hi pb I've not been through the whole thread but do we know what numbers we are roughly looking at getting through the gates to start with?

Great, another batch of support that have been going for years can be phased out and replaced by "fans" that can use their selfie sticks to measure out the social distance.

Thinking about it, I'm going to change the card into my name, I'm not right arsed about losing 25k points. I was already getting fucked off with home games and away games are just as worse with travelling and the match day experience.

Things aren't going to be normal for long time for away games, if ever.

When everything is back to normal then it's as you were as far as I'm concerned.

I went to more matches each season than anyone I knew in my London Blues circle. I officially retired after the Watford FA Cup Final following two seasons of sporadic matches and don’t miss it at all.

It was difficult to stop at first but I’ve replaced it already and far prefer my experiences abroad now.

I've heard a few say the hardest part is giving up but once you've given it up they don't miss it.

I've done all the grounds here so it's nothing new.
