Seasoncard Amnesty

City have given this some very careful thought and the solution they have outlined, which is subject to one or two things, is a good and very fair one. I've been going since 68 and buying seasoncards for decades. But due to a couple of medical conditions I'm in the vulnerable category and so won't be bidding for tickets for the foreseeable future. Will look to return in 21/22, but no-one knows what the COVID situation will be then. Hope and pray things are much better by then, but no-one can say how things will pan out.

Me and my lad attend 95% of games home and away it’s a great move from the club and exactly what I expected them to do
I have 4 season cards and I’ve kept them in credit for when we can renew

If you wanna attend a game next season I reckon you can I can’t see the pull of watching a game in a sterile atmosphere

Personally I think we’ll wait till it’s sorted properly we thrive on the away days the home games are ok but not a patch on the away day experience train pubs etc

Could be the pub until things return to normal
Quite enjoyed watching the Madrid game with like minded people in the pub!
Something I thought I’d never say

I will no doubt apply for some as I’m an addict and being going since the mid 70’s
Let’s see what happens
We’ll done City

But, I can't see me wanting to go to reduced capacity games, even the "big" ones. It'd be weird with only, what 15-20k there?
Just curious, are you one of our younger fans? Us FOCs can remember matches like the 10-1 vs Huddersfield with less than 20k in a stadium holding 50k+? I don't recall it spoiling the enjoyment too much.

So, without reading all 57 pages of people moaning - can someone tell me what the craic is?

Ive two season tickets, one is used by two people - depending on work.

Both want to apply if it becomes safes to do so.

Anyone know if thats possible? (or link me to an article that advises?)

For the duration of the current Covid-19 restrictions, only the person named on the ticket will be able to use it. If both are in your name then you'd need to take advantage of the "amnesty" to change the name on one of the cards to one of the people who use it if you want them to be able to get tickets.

not sure i'll set wheel in the ground ever again. my granson wife and daughter will thats the main thing. if the ballot is kind i'll give it a shot.

i love you Manchester City , it's been one hell of a ride. an absolute privilege .

I imagine by the time we can all go again Bill, they will have built hospitality pubs over all the disabled areas!

Bet you do

Seriously, unless you are a complete loner with an obsession beyond explanation, then who in their right mind would want to go? There'll be zero atmosphere, VAR as usual will be doing it business and those that do attend will be sat alone like Muppets unaware of what's going on and have nobody nearby to even moan to!

Fair play to City for trying to put a path to normality in place and trying to keep us onside for better times to come, but I'm not sure you could even give these tickets away never mind sell them.

Hardly young. I missed the 10-1 because I worked Saturdays back then.

I’ve been at plenty of low attendance games but this is different. The others were because we were shit. This is forced because of a pandemic. At least back then, with terracing you could group together and have a singsong and a laugh. Now, not so much.

Let’s see what they’re charging for the dubious privilege and how it goes, but right now, with all the restrictions, I can’t say I’m up for it.

Hi guys I am a lifelong blue and not posted on here for a long time.
I have not read all the pages of posts, but need to raise awareness and ask for support in pointing out one of the main issues with the club regarding their seat proposals in the new covid regime for season 20/21.
It has not been possible to contact supporter services regarding the issue by telephone trying two days this week. I sent emails and now posted to their twitter supporter services page.
In my opinion they are unnecessarily removing the benefit for seasoncard holders to use their Seasoncard seats for other people. The attached file / images explains the issue and how it relates to the existing terms of the Seasoncard.
It may be important information for any Seasoncard holders and others that you may know.
It’s likely that there could be a large number of Seasoncard holders affected. There will be impact on family group members and in particular for supporters who work away from home and have a Seasoncard that is used by others at home.
I have deleted text from here and deleted the images because
I have now been told that the terms and conditions have been overridden by a requirement on all PL clubs that, for Track and Trace purposes, only the named seasoncard holder can be allowed to attend a game. Now we have to hope that, in time, once we see how things work out, we may be able to relax that restriction, subject to meeting any requirements around Track & Trace. But for the moment I am told that it will overide any MCFC conditions.
If that true you can ignore what I have posted. We will see.

thanks for your attention, LOL

The ballot will use a sophisticated algorithm devised by the club.
it’s sole purpose will be to finally identify the early leavers.
Seriously though. I was in a fortunate position to let the club keep my outstanding SC balance. Will this be used as payment if I apply first or kept in abeyance until SC are issued again.

I just dont see the appeal of going now and I think lots of fans have no intention of going again until there is potentially a vaccine.

most of our match goers are a lot older and in their late 60s/ 70s. Most of the people I sit near are in that category and I know quite a few who aren’t going.

myself, brother & dad are giving up are season tickets, due to financial reasons and getting fed up of the experience.

I hope city take everything into account and don’t price our fans out of going. They need to remember the financial difficulties most people are having. The cynic in me think lots of these limited tickets will be given to corporates and people with the most money

Again sorry if mentioned before but some supporter clubs have their own season cards? 3/4 tickets around 15/20 members How does that work if they are passed around per game or won in a ballot?

So who gains when you have collected them points you have paid your money unfair that they are taken away
Surely if people have cards in the wrong name, the reason they didn’t get their own name put on it in the first was to keep points they hadn’t earned . There may be other reasons but in most cases that would have been the thinking

You could change the name of the card yourself for a long period of time, you could change everything bar DoB. If you moved seats you could end up with the wrong name in the early days e.g. 2 cards moved and both end up with the same name, contact the club to change it as they say "it doesn't matter". Well it did when they started collections at euro aways, even more so now.

Having spoken to the club Friday and seeing the statement since, I asked what if I didn’t want to go back during the pandemic? Would my season cards be held for 2021/22 season and it looks as though that’s now the case.
The reason I don’t want to go during this time is I’ve had it, I’ve had it early on pre lockdown and it sucked big time. I dont want it again as I was rough as hell for 3 weeks and even now some 5 months on I am still having issues. I’m not too old at 42 and I wasn’t in an unfit state, but if I can avoid catching it again I’ll do all I can to make sure that’s the case.
I’ve also had to change my dads season card in to my daughters name, he passed away nearly 2 years ago and the club knew of this and were happy to leave it in his name so my father in law could use it or we upgraded it on a match day for my wife to use. Now under 5’s will have to pay (I think that’s wrong to be honest) then it made sense to add my 2 year olds name to the ticket to save money.
It looks like we won’t have to renew if I read it right and our ticket will roll over to 2021/22 if we want or if the stadium opens up fully again? I just can’t see many being at the stadium before 2021. If that’s the case then I may get to go again but while it’s like this I’ll be giving it a wide birth.
