Seasoncard Renewals | Slight Price Increase

Thanks @kippaxkid74, that's one way to make me look an even worse human being haha! I think you realised my opinion wasn't pointed in the direction of you. You are the heartbeat of our club and will be one of many who make it happen at all costs without complaining. They prey on our addiction but we've all known that for years. I take my hat off to you for your commitment to the club, my point was at the wealthy or privileged moaners who want their cake as well as eating it.

Fair play to @tolmie's hairdoo, incredible gesture. I'll take people's difference of opinions all day, it's what makes the world go round. You're clearly not one of the serial take merchants that I was referring to.
A very generous and heartfelt acknowledgement of the differences between people.
As I was taught when teacher training "every child is an individual with an individuals perfections, imperfections and differences" (that was paraphrasing as it is over 45 years ago)
The world would be a boring place without our differences etc. Thank you @dozzie26 :-)

same here got moved because of new advertising, they held my price at 450 for this season. I moved two rows back from where i was now they want 800. Looking at the pricing plan they are showing cheap seats pitchside in front of where i am , but these seats dont physically exist any more. over the last few years i have moved from row A which used to be front row, to row 3 which was second row as row 1 didnt exist. then ive had to move to row C which is now second row because they took out the seats from rows 2, 3, and A. According to citys price plan the front 3 rows are the cheap seats, i sit on what is in reality now the second row and its not classed as pitchside so they bang up the price by 350 quid. Serioulsly looking at my options
I was on what was row B, I am now on Row 2, there are now three people that were behind me that are now in front of me, We as you know are in a pretty good area especially being so close to the aways , but now as yourself I am seriously considering my options, the difference in prices is quite frankly ridiculous. As Grasslands Blue has quite rightly pointed out, we never asked to be moved so why should we suffer the burden of this increase.
Think City may have messed my season ticket up a little bit.
Going up from £415 to £675.
Surely that can't be right a extra £260 than what I currently pay.
Are you SS L1 and did you have to move because of the advertising hoardings?

Thanks Dave.

I agree about the amount of money in the game, it is total greed. That is a larger issue and voting with your feet by not renewing or staging walkouts is not going to do anything. We are all replaceable as the product is so sought after by the masses.

Moaning over £20 isn't going to do anything. The only hope we have really is that the game eats itself but can't see that happening any time soon. Super League MK2 is on the cards whether we like it or not, we have no real say as fans of a top club, and haven't for a long time.

I take the King C insult back, that was a gut reaction to you calling anyone who didn't accept the price rise a 'C'. We're all Blues so accept my apology for the direct insult.

It's good to see you agree on the greed aspect, it didn't feel that way last night.

However I disagree that moaning doesn't do anything. We have £30 away tickets because fans moaned, We don't have a SuperLeague because fans moaned. If we made a concerted effort, we could convince the Soriano's of the world that continous price rises are not good for our support.

He's adopted the cook a frog principle, keep raising the heat in small amounts until one day the frog realises it's over for him. It seems all about Hospitality and day-trippers nowdays. And where are they on a cold Tuesday night when Norwich are in town ?

Great gesture, chapeau as the French say. I often wonder if the club could offer season cards to people who can genuinely show they are on benefits etc. On the grand scale of things, to offer a couple of hundred season cards for £100 or even for free would be fantastic. There are plenty of fans in financial trouble who live for their weekly fix of City ti help them through the week. Instead of chucking out freebies to corporates in the hope that spend thousands despite them not supporting the team how about helping out real fans.

This in a nutshell. Anyone's circumstance can change very quickly due to ill health and/or a job loss and watching City live could be the one thing that keeps some people going. Even when we weren't as good it was still a day out and a chance to forget your troubles for ninety minutes by immersing yourself in the game. We were always known as a community club and one that cared a bit more for the fans than others, let's get back to that core value again and not lose it in the new shiny world of success.

I had points transferred from Maine Road
Season ticket 1500, or 1000 for new starters plus 100 a year for 5 years (1998), and points for away and cup games counted from Norwich Away in August 2001. Some people had about 1990 when the system started before the TNS point were added in 2003.

I wonder if anyone from the club reads this thread?
It’s overwhelmingly negative towards the club and their decisions. Feels like they are in a bunker and we can never get hold of them

The club have been slowly ignoring fans and supporters clubs for years mate...drip drip drip

They need to be careful. We are miles away from filling the seats with tourists for the shittier games , its ok v real madrid.
And most people with have a break point with what they are prepared to pay

completely agree. For games like Madrid we can find the tourists to fill the stadium. For lots of other games we really struggle to find replacement fans.

cup games, champions league group games, quite a few prem games if season ticket holders don’t go we often don’t sell out. The last couple of trips to Wembley being a great example of that. Liverpool in a semi final we couldn’t sell out and we were giving tickets to local schools and groups…

I want fans to take a stand and protest if possible, but Part of me thinks let them do it, just so there are more empty seats and the atmosphere will be worse. Maybe they’ll then realise the mistake they’ve made.
