Seasoncard Renewals | Slight Price Increase

I'm two years off FOC rates..............mine was over £800 (plus cup schemes and aways/Wembley etc) to renew. Moving wasn't guaranteed and the cheaper seats is virtually inpossible to get and usually sold out every year.

Maybe in two years I'll try again. I really wasn't banking on my new Gas and Electric bills. Shop is also going crazy.

Mine was £650 south stand lower. Yes bills are now insane.

That’s a kind post mate. If you and your son haven’t got tickets for the Newcastle game you can have 2 I’ve bought for people (who aren’t now going) FoC. They are in SSL3 I think so no worries if not interested

I'm looking for two for Paris if you're feeling generous today Tim...

;-)

Good man!

I've not checked but I bet nearly every seat at the Swamp is more expensive than at City. We are offered fantastic value for the level of product we receive.

If United don’t increase season ticket prices next season, it will be 11 seasons without a price increase. Stand corrected on that.

By comparison we’ve had near enough the exact opposite.

From the MUEN.

Manchester United have frozen season ticket prices for the seventh year in a row.

The club have announced prices will remain fixed for the 2018-19 campaign, with the most expensive adult ticket costing £950 and the cheapest £532.

That is the equivalent of individual matches tickets ranging from £50-£28.

United have also introduced a new youth pricing structure for supporters aged 18-25 years.

Situated in the pitchside seating blocks of the Stretford End lower tier, tickets cost £285.

I deferred this season. Had always planned to renew for next, but with the cost of living rising so dramatically, the cost of fuel etc, the price rise they have deemed justified and necessary, simply means I cannot justify doing so.

Season ticket holder since 1983, but finally priced out.

Bloody hell mate... You should give a warning before posting obscene images like that.

I've only just got over seeing that picture of Gail Platt's tits.

I have sent a message to my local branch, as we have not had a meeting for quite a while, asking the question but I am not holding my breath I am afraid @Tim of the Oak. :-)
Thanks Sheila I will reply to your message but these are broadly my thoughts. I think Colin made the point that City’s administrators won’t entertain discussion with fans representatives about overall season ticket price increase. I think what is disappointing (iMHO) is that Danny Wilson and Roel de Vries told us that they were looking at reducing the ticket prices for younger juniors (eg 5 to 12year olds) and don’t appear to have done anything (unless I’ve missed it). I would hope the OSC / City Matters would follow up on these type of specific issues so cheaper tickets might be offered for Prem games. Maybe it’s the plan to look at a game by game basis to be fair to Danny and Roel. Also, maybe Soriano should dictated what happens as Colin suggests.

FWIW Roel and Danny impressed me earlier in the season (before the Arsenal game) when they accepted the Big Bang move to mobile phone ticketing had affected crowds, but this had turned into “an end of Covid affect” when we last saw them in the Campus. I guess that’s how senior management operate and I know Danny does loads to help Blues.

I do think the lack of cover Kevin received from fans after Pep’s “empty seats” comments might make him think twice about being outspoken on some issues, but I hardly know the guy so that’s just a guess. I know from my OSC work that Kevin is usually available 7 days per week to help fans and if it was up to me it would be Sir Kevin Parker.

Every year I say that I probably won't renew next season, and every year I keep going back for more.

I've already been thinking about throwing the towel in again for next season given the cost of living increases etc, and the price hike makes things a bit worse.

I'm an FOC so it's not as bad as it could be, but I think Mrs Lavinda is beginning to get a bit fed up of eating reduced items from Lidl and Aldi.

The general attitude of the club towards it's traditional/'legacy' supporters is, at the very best, patronising. To be absolutely honest, I don't think that the hierarchy actually deserves the level of unwavering support that the club gets.

I'll give it one more season, and no doubt be writing exactly the same next April... (As long as Mrs Lavinda lets me)

:-)

Up the Blues.

I deferred last season for various reasons but will be renewing mine and my son's.

You can have my season tickets for you and your mum to sit together, whenever I can't go or be arsed, if you would like that?

Probably six or seven of those each season.

I can also sort you out with IPTV for £70 if that's something you can stretch to, it really does pay for itself and you get to watch City, home and away, plus everything your son will love in terms of Disney plus, Netflix, Amazon, prime, all the Sky channels, films, etc.

I will wire you the £70 if needs be and also have a brand new Amazon 4K firestick to set it up with, which I could mail you.

Sorry for your dilemma but the offer is genuinely there and just a token gesture.

Just PM me if that's something you would like.

Best wishes to your family and mum.
Wow, lovely gesture.

You've gone and made we want to do something nice for someone. That doesn't come natural to a twat like myself either. Well played.

I've got to say this is probably the best post I've read on bluemoon in many a year, Sir take a bow.

Hi Tim,
Whilst I see where you are coming from and agree with you about how Danny Wilson and Roel de Vries came over very well at that meeting and said a lot of the right things I guess at the end of the day it is not their decision. That comes from the 'higher ups'.

As for the OSC/City Matters saying the hierarchy won't discuss season card prices with them I'm afraid I find that rather weak of them! They are representing ALL City supporters and need to keep badgering and badgering.

That may come from my Union background or it may come from the fact that I have given up kow towing to people. I used to be a scaredy cat but nowadays I will stand up for myself.

At present I am half way through a letter to Ferran Soriano and plan to make sure that it is also sent to H.E. Khaldoon Al Mubarak. My philosophy nowadays is if you don't get satisfaction from the first point of contact go higher! It may seem OTT but to be quite frank, none of this affects me in a way. Yes my SC is going up (I think, I've got the renewal, but not checked prices) but I am lucky. I live alone, I have a State Pension and a Teacher's Pension plus some savings that my offspring keep telling me to spend on myself but it is for the grand and great grand kids. It isn't a large amount by any means but it means the price rises will only affect me slightly.

It is the people like the lady who posted earlier (@kippaxkid74) and the pensioners who are only on a SP. Plus those who were made redundant/furloughed during lockdown, those who are unemployed and struggling, the people who are not well but still want to go and are being side lined at every turn. They are the ones that matter and that is why I am writing to the top.

Castigate me if you will (not you Tim, others who probably think I am OTT) but after reading [USER=8822]@tolmie's hairdoo
and the lady who is paying for her Mum I just felt I had to do something.

Yes, I'll probably get a reply from one of their staff but hey at least I'll have tried.

Sorry for the essay. Retirement means I have a little time!! And the fact that (violins out :-) ) I can't walk far or do the things I want to do at present makes me irritated with the world I guess. :-)
Peace and love everyone (apart from warmongers)

EDIT: Help where did the blue come from and why can't I get rid of it? I've tried editing and making it all black but it didn't work. Apologies folks.
