Many students stay in Manchester after they get their degrees, so maybe City are trying to grow our fan base that way?
Alas, most students from around the country studying in MCR already support a team, normally United or Liverpool.
Offer lapsed season card holders the tickets for a couple of games and see if they can tempted back even on short term basis i.e. here is what you have missed out on, why not come back and buy a five match bundle. Include one of the games against the top six, a league cup tie or FA Cup tie and three games against the smaller clubs. Gives people seven games and might induce them back to buy more.completely agree. I like we offer students cheaper tickets. However these students often aren’t city fans and we aren’t going to grow our fanbase with them. We’d be much better off offering locals those cheap tickets…. Long term it would benefit hugely
uni students who don’t support us get cheap tickets, but locals who the club was made for are priced out. Makes no sense
Buy 1 season ticket - then transfer to your mate on a game by game basis - simple and works as many times as you wantI've had to defer the last two seasons due to redundancy. I'm planning on going half with my mate and taking turns to keep the cost down.
Is this possible with the current ticketing?
Cheers blue appreciate itBuy 1 season ticket - then transfer to your mate on a game by game basis - simple and works as many times as you want
That number will be dwindling now, those type of fans pick a successful club 10-14 ish so a much larger % of 18 year old plastics are city or Chelsea fans than 10 years ago. It’s just an unfortunate consequence of success. Many students stay in Manchester after they get their degrees, so maybe City are trying to grow our fan base that way?

Just seen the 1894 statement what a disgrace. The price is the price mine is £425 it's a bargain
Mine has gone up 53p per league game.3% rise. I wish my Tesco/Morrisons bills had only gone up by that amount.
I posted a video earlier, most of this lot don't support us.
how is it a disgrace? Pretty much mimics what most people on this thread are saying.
the price is the price - ie I don’t mind as I can afford it- alright jack
