Definitely seat exchange. That one sold out weeks ago. You can tell seat exchange tickets because they are dotted everywhere. The last tickets to sell before we sell out the original seats are usually the back of the third tiers.
 
How does an ipswich fan get tickets in our end for an away game at leeds? Seriously pissed me off this..

@fodenmagic your post needs sticking on a different thread where it will be seen by more. I can only assume he got it through a ticket site but the fact that a sad wank, who does a youtube channel no one watches, can get a ticket sums up modern football.

Wasn’t sure which thread to put it in tbh. I get 95% of aways through points but really struggled for this.. Massively pissed me off!

He said he paid a lot of money for it, which heavily suggests he bought it off a ticket agency. I doubt it’ll piss you off any less but at least it will have probably come from the approx 2/3rds that were never earmarked for points holders.

He mentioned at the very end of the video in his car that he paid a lot for it. Basically confirms he bought off a tout website for a few hundred - and we all know the touts get some for every away game

Points holders get just under two-thirds of tickets normally. So your maths is on a par with Eni Aluko's. ;-)

I've no idea how true it is but I've heard stories of people who help pay for their hospitality season tickets this way.

Why is there only approx 1/3 of the allocation shown as available immediately as they go on sale?

Probably because they hold blocks back initially. We've seen that so many times before when you think you're going to struggle to get a ticket but then loads more appear. No idea why as we were always going to easily sell out a game like that, but seems to be a hangover from the old days when we'd only take half the allocation initially.

Just going off what I’ve read on here from people who seem to monitor these things closely. And the consensus seemed to be that approx 1,000 out of a normal 3,000 allocation were going to points for high demand games. I’ve no idea how true that is but yours is this first post I’ve seen disputing it, so I just assumed it was probably reasonably accurate.
 
No tickets left for the Chelsea cup game now, although I assume some will periodically appear

Only 1150 went on sale to points holders for the derby.

Liverpool, Leeds etc. are harder to judge because restricted views don't get put on sale until unrestricted are sold out.

My biggest bugbear with it is how only the points holders get landed with restricted view tickets. OSC and corporate always get the prime seats.

No big shock there is there, just after Christmas break another two days off couldn't have been a worse draw for us. Hopefully when they go to open sale some of our fans closer to Southampton will take up the slack.

If that is true, it really shouldn’t be something the club are happy to turn a blind eye to.

I don’t necessarily agree with it but I can at least understand why the club are prepared to allow those paying tens of thousands on hospitality to jump the queue for away tickets. But it should be on the strict understanding that they are for personal use only. With checks in place, which would be easy enough.

If I understand it correctly, they would not only be taking the piss but actually breaking the law. Unless City have given them express permission to sell them on at inflated prices, which would be even worse.
