Seat Counters - 2024/25

He’s got every reason to want more from the crowd. Our home support is regularly terrible.

Forget about the tourists, new fans, etc, there’s at least 30,000 ‘proper’ fans in the ground. The majority don’t actually support the team until we are 4 up. Same as at Maine Road where the sound of moaning was often louder than the chants.
To be honest I think it’s the other way round. When we struggle the crowd are better and we stroll it’s flat as a pancake.

I’m thinking of “hoarders” who attend half or fewer Prem games.

There is a another issue of some Blues seeing we are playing shite and pressed the Ticket Exchange button.

I’m all for cheaper match day tickets. I’m just pointing out that there are other issues affecting the crowd, as well as price. The occasional fans are just going to fill in the gaps when they can see us against Liverpool in a few weeks.
If there's really high individual match prices and reasonably priced season tickets it's inevitable that even people who are looking to attend half or fewer Prem games will buy season tickets.

The root cause of most of this is the obscenely high prices for individual Premier League games which will also give City a dilemma if they are getting thousands of tickets back 3 weeks before Southampton at home in midweek of whether to sell the tickets cheaper at that point.

And how much extra are City actually making by selling Everton at home at 12.30pm for £70 rather than £35?

It’s prices and current, shocking form. We’ve also been spoilt with an incredible amount of success. It’s not just just about price. Saying that, match day tickets should be significantly cheaper IMHO.

Soriano and his team have sanitised the Etihad
The Etihad has never had a good atmosphere, no matter who was in it. Might got the odd Hamburg like game in a season but the stadium has never been consistently loud.

The Poznan season on the terraces was great for most home games. There’s never been a better sight in the PL than 50,000+ City fans doing the Poznan. It shits all over YNWA.

When was the last time the whole Etihad did it!

Don’t agree with “never had a good atmosphere” at all - there have been plenty down the years. The consistent part, yeah, you’re probably right, mainly due to the fact that there’s one stand in the ground that consistently sings. The other three stands offer very little, I see no reason why there shouldn’t be an organic, passionate atmosphere In those stands, especially considering the football we’ve been privileged to watch.

.....which is why the away fans must be shifted down to the shit seats in ESL110/111...shit views, shit acoustics.

The SSL 3/2 must be an all City zone BEFORE the NS 9000 additional seats are available.

IMO...the NS extension will generate its own fan base of singers, and then we'll have two home ends with the atmosphere the club and fans have always wanted but never had.

This is the last oportunity for the club to fix this once and for all and it can be achieved at very little cost and without compromising security, segregation, sight lines, safety, or coach park logistics.

Do it City for the start of 25/26 season.

Flogging a dead horse springs to mind.
Tickets are selling on the Facebook page. They are not mine so no pressure but hopefully my mate gets a sale.

If it was flogging a dead then it largely undermines the argument of those saying price is the only factor in ticket sales.

Unfortunately Soriano and his cronies will make sure the expanded North Stand is soulless

The blokes an absolute leech, a fucking parasite, and he needs getting rid of as soon as possible. The legacy he will leave will be terrible, just like at Barcelona. He’s piggy backed on Pep and the team’s brilliance, increasing ticket prices, chasing tourists corporate etc. but an extended period of what we’ve seen recently and he won’t know what to do.

Remove him from his post, let him do whatever the fuck he wants with the CFG, and get in somebody who actually knows how to run a football club sustainably and actually cares about City’s long term future.

It's the same at every other stadium.

Despite what the Internet may tell us, there's no atmosphere at Dortmund outside of a few thousand in the middle of their yellow wall. Nor is there any atmosphere at Red Star belgrade outside of their ultras section.

This idea that all these stadiums in Europe are absolutly bouncing in all 4 stands is simply not true

Not to mention the over zealous stewarding that has become apparent again after the Showsec debacle a few years ago on ESL1.

It seems City are intent on alienating their legacy core support with high ticket prices and stricter stewarding.
The club don't like naughty words and just want us singing along like a scout jamboree. We all accept racist and homophobic chants and insults are out of line, but bad language and so-called tragedy chanting (within reason) are part and parcel of the game. Songs about Munich, Hillsborough and Aberfan (one for lurking raggies) are never acceptable but Feed the Scousers and You'll Never Get a Job are hardly tragedy chanting are they? "Lizzie's in a box" seems to be acceptable for some reason, but then again, it's never their fault.
The club, together will all other PL clubs spout drivel about not tolerating racial abuse so how many Spurs fans have been ejected for their "Yid Army" chants?

I was only joking mate. I’m sure they will sell at that price. Merry Christmas.

I’ve got thin skin when it comes Manchester.

I’ve never seen a Liverpool or Everton fan ejected and given a 3 year tragedy chant ban for chanting Manchester is full of shit, shit, and more shit. You’ll hear the chant on Boxing Day. But chant feed the Scousers and that’s now classed as a tragedy chant, when it has always been classed as football banter. What’s next, you fat bastard? He’s got a pie in his pocket? If you can’t speak proper shut your gob? Cry in a minute, he’s gonna cry in a minute? Etc.

Which may soon happen less frequently if the club limit the number of times a ticket can be put on the exchange.
