Seat Counters - 2024/25

I got slaughtered for saying this, and it is exactly this, look on twitter, look on Facebook, nothing to do with cost, just not interested, we don’t have a passionate fanbase anymore, if you were keen you would find 30;quid for a ticket no problem
It’s not just 30 quid though, is it?

The new blocks 535, 534 are selling steadily. They have 401, 540 seats respectively at 10pm compared to 426 and 566 at 7pm.
Tickets appear to be selling in 535 and 534 (I am not checking all the blocks). These blocks were added yesterday and are £30 and £45 in Level 5.

Same old discussion every year. Bottom line is if visiting Wembley was a novelty, we’d sell out. If the game was anywhere in the North of England or the Midlands it would sell out.

The FA take the piss with kick off times and venue. Add to that, we’ve got the club treating local fans the way they do through the course of the season. Fans become detached from the habit of going when they get priced out.

Saying that, we’ll probably take 25k or more and opposition fans will still take the piss. I’d argue that’s a good travelling support against a club that we have no rivalry with, at a stadium 200 miles away, where we’ve played 30 times in 15 years, at 4:30 on a Sunday. They took the piss when we had 30k v championship Sheffield United. Anyway, kudos to everyone making the effort.

Block 534,actually had 628 seats available when it was released last night.
Put the cheaper seats on sale and they will sell.

There are 6/7 blocks completely empty, anybody can sit with anybody, the fact that people are using a “late night” as an excuse, it’s pathetic, still thousands of 30 and 45 quid tickets, if you genuinely wanted to be there, you would, simple as that.
That abit disingenuous, there are not thousands of 30 and 40 pounds tickets left.
From early yesterday morning the minimum price tickets available was £70 and it was only later on,at 1900 pm that they opened 2 blocks containing £30 and £45 seats.
If those blocks had been available throughout the 2 buying criteria yesterday they would have sold.
Price is a factor for many people

And how do you expect supporters to be able to buy them if they don't open the block up.
They could have opened the cheaper blocks up,once the other cheaper blocks had sold out, but they chose not to, in the hope of shifting the dearer ones, that were still available.
Whether that's a City decision or a Wembley directive I don't know.

I don't think you can argue that because we sold out the Community Shield game this Summer.
That was against United though, in what many consider to be a big game. The glory hunters can’t be bothered with games like this, as we’ve seen with all the cup games

That block might be released gradually.

The underlying numbers are 37k seasoncard holders and 140,000 match day members. According to Manchester City City matters meeting minutes on average 50% of seasoncard holders don't go to CL games so that means 25,000-30,000 match-day fans go. Given we sold out the Community Shield, it seems to me that this supporter base is likely to support City in the semi-final. There are limits on how much you can expect from City's seasoncard holders. We have been to Wembley almost 30 times in 15 years. I bet many seasoncard holders have been over 10 times. The support is remarkable.

Fans who go to CL games are not glory-hunters. Some people call them tourists. I call them fans. Plastic fans are fans who never go to games. If you don't have a seasoncard you will naturally pick and choose your games when it costs £70 for league tickets or £150 to travel and buy a ticket for Wembley (less admittedly if you live in the South).

I think you’ve added one to many zeros there Marvin?

I’ve reached a tipping point. £200+ minimum for my daughter and me to attend (£100 train from Leeds; £60 tickets and £40 food and drink and that’s being realty careful all day). And then having to do it all again with higher prices 3 weeks later. Something has to give. And all of this on the back on the need for recent protests City and the FA can stick it where the sun don’t shine.

The site won't allow me to buy extra tickets unless they are in my freinds and family group. Others are having similar issues. The club have had so many opportunities to get this right over the last 14 years, but still don't have fan friendly systems in place.
Probably a daft question but have you raised this issue with the club mate? If they're made aware of it then they can do something about it.

We should be able to give Forest some tickets if they have the demand. But it won't be possible because the arseholes at the FA will have give some of their " Football Family" tickets in the centre of the top tier. The easy thing to do would be to move these tickets a few blocks up but they won't, because they are arseholes.

I am also being blocked from buying extra tickets. Too much of City’s ticketing is designed to help people who don’t attend games on a regular basis including the zero attendance requirement season cards.

£30 for a match ticket isn't the problem

The £80+ train tickets, however way you plan it.
£60 for a coach, which is a god awful way to travel to an away game.
The full day out and late return home on a Sunday.
Less than easy driving and parking issues which are likely to include a train ride, not cheap, from somewhere or, a ridiculously expensive parking fee.

The days of doing it on the cheap and over.

Still more than a week to go before the match so we shouldn't be giving Forest any of our tickets just yet as tickets are still shifting, particularly when the £30 and £45 ones become available as blocks open up. The club could also relax criteria further to cater for those fans who aren't current members but have a purchase history. There must be thousands and thousands of fans who fall into that category.
