Seat Counters - 2024/25

We're never going back to queuing for tickets, but when it comes to cup schemes, I'd have them invitation-only. Invite people to the cup schemes who attend cup matches on a regular basis, which means people who have physically attended in person; purchasing a ticket but not attending does not count. I would also offer the scheme to match day members. Then, when it comes to finals, forget about cup scheme members getting priority; instead, offer tickets to people who have been attending that competition, whether they are in the scheme or not; again, this is based on attendance, not simply purchasing a ticket and not attending the game.

Oh I know we are never going to go back to queuing, the club would rather go under than give any modicum of control back to the fans.

100%, these twats and their short term thinking are completely responsible, we lost generations of support due to our lack of success and when success came they tuned their back on local support, totally disengaged now are so many and it's much harder to get lapsed blues to return than it is for fans to stop going.Good luck to 93:20 and the others in their campaign and get that sycophantic banner in the east stand pulled down 'Manchester thanks you..' grovelling shite!!!.
I hardly think Sheikh Mansour is close to the disengagement of the fanbase, you need to look closer to home for that, Soriano, Khaldoon, Wilson, Marwood etc

You are not serious about this queuing are you, I thought it was a wind up.

It's 2025 mate not 1970!

People moan about having to wait 15 minutes for a Tram yet you expect folk to give up half a day to travel and queue at the Etihad for the chance of buying a ticket!

,
And you've got Pep talking about it being a final and how they need the fans from the first minute...the club clearly think money is more important.
Given that each premier league place is worth about £2m in prize money and how tight it is from 3rd - 7th, its a fallacy to over-price the tickets for a Monday night game that the tourists can't get to (I'm a tourist, 45 years exiled from Manchester so only get back for a few games a season). A full house might spur the team on to a 3rd place finish.

Yeah, you’re not a tourist mate.

Some facts for anyone who receives ‘banter’ from Forest fans about us taking ~28k to Wembley on Sunday.

1. Forest have never had an attendance above 50k

2. You’d have to go back to 1899 for the last time Forest had a higher average attendance than City.

3. In 1999 we averaged ~4K more fans than them despite playing two tiers below.

4. They last had an average attendance over 30k in 1978 (when they won the league - our average that season was over 40k).

Don’t be embarrassed on Sunday. Taking as many fans as we do to Wembley so frequently. Forest have been there once in over 30 years. Our support is absolutely brilliant. Well done everyone making the trip.

What would incentivise it is if we went back to queuing up at the ticket office for tickets, it's too easy for those fortunate enough to have the money just to join every scheme to guarantee themselves a ticket without any effort.

I know it isn't going to happen but just throwing it out there.
That’s the wildest suggestion yet. And there’s been a few.

Yeah, you’re not a tourist mate.
Yeah, being a ‘tourist’ has nothing to do with where someone lives.

Someone from Timbuktu coming to the Etihad for their first and only City game is NOT a tourist if they’re there to support the club they love.

A ‘tourist’ is someone who is in the seat purely for the spectacle of attending a Premier League football match - who has little or no affiliation with City - and who is not particularly bothered about the outcome of the game (as long as they got the ‘I was there’ selfie for all their Instagram followers who couldn’t care less).

If tickets for tomorrow were £40/£50, it would be a complete sell out.

If I had to pick and choose games, I’d be spending £45 on a ticket to Wembley vs £71 for tomorrow.
OK so you would buy a match day ticket at the lesser prices. Thanks.

I’ve just given away 2 tickets for tomorrow night so there will be cheaper ones knocking about. It’s a big game so if you can get there, turn up and get behind the lads.

Come on City.

Students for example! Studying in Manc. Not arsed about City. Pick up a CL ticket for a group game for £10. Might as well go at that price.

Nice one mate, good to see some positivity. We've nothing to prove here but thanks for the ammo, think a few may use it on Sunday.

4435 tickets left on the OS for one of the most important games of the season because the cheapest ticket is £71. Fucking ridiculous pricing.

Plenty available through non-official channels too and at a much cheaper cost and still struggling to shift. £71 for a mid-week game, must have lost their fucking minds.

Going to be dead in the ground tomorrow, club only have themselves to blame.
