Seats Being Removed

what a load of bollox this is, in this day and age fans should have been able to log on this morning select seats available and click 'job done'

Just relocated. Phoned up at 9 and drove towards work on hold listening to Seal and REM. Was still on hold as I drove past work to the ground. Of course you couldn't park around the Stadium as normal. Was still on hold a good 45 mins into the v long queue. Finally got answered and my new seats as nr as poss to my usual ones. Asked if I could pass my phone to someone else in the queue but not allowed.
Very angry people queuing - most of the frustration centred on the lack of notice and misinformation. The letter from the club received only on Friday said only a small no. Of seats were affected and that the window for renewal would be exclusive - this clearly isn't the case and there are people queuing for other reasons too.
10 days ago I queued in the wind and rain for 30 mins for the privilege of spending 2k with the club - now this fiasco! - Nothing changes !

Finally after 2 hours waiting got through . All sorted in about 2 mins flat. Have litteraly moved one seat backwards to row b which apparently will become row a , how they figure that I have no idea

Unfortunately it's like this.

Only a certain % of City fans either read or post on BM. I would say the vast majority don't. So even though the club monitors/reads BM, it knows the vast majority of fans won't know what's happening at the club, especially during the Summer.

I'm sure only a % of fans know what's going on as regards these seat relocations. So as such, the club will do what it think it's needs to do, and to hell with the consequences and those fans affected.

You only have to cast your mind back to the North Stand fiasco where 1000's fans were affected. The club still did what it wanted to do, regardless of the turmoil and impact it had on those fans.

Just got though and moved in the same block to 4 rows down from the back and from the aisle by one seat. So while I am not best pleased with the way it was communicated - I am OK with the outcome.

That's pretty much what I've done Shin. Wasn't meant to phone till 1 but took the chance was on hold for an hour myself. Done in two mins and relocated to the row behind same block both together and only took two mins. That was all fine wish it could have been done online but job done in the end.

whats annoyed me most was i got the letter after i finished work on friday, so had no chance to arrange time off to go down and sort it so have had to put up with the phone debacle. work probably wont appreciate me being on the blower for over 2 hours but it sorted now.

It's actually a lot harder than you would think. You need to factor in moving multiple people in groups (including where different people are paying for different seats in said group) and avoid creating difficult to sell isolated seats - when people choose seats for themselves they tend to leave spaces whereas an operator can control this to some degree. Too many variables to create a system that just works for one short period in a year - better to have humans doing it.
