I don't think he's blessed with pace though and that's what we are missing in abundance since Bellars left.

Say Chelsea, Unit or Arsenal were short on numbers, do you think they would consider bringing in Seb Larsson to see them through to the end of the season? I don't, therefore if we have ambitions of being amongst those teams, and infact displacing a couple of them, we shouldn't either.Stillsy said:look who he is crossing them into fella, if hes hitting dzeko and lescott/kompany/yaya off corners then they will be put away.
Dont get me wrong im not saying he is the best player ever hes just a decent player that can put a mean ball in and will be very useful for us
And that attitude can lead to situations like Liverpool where the fans go nuts every time someone is signed that isn't supposed to be the best thing since Pele. I'm not saying we have to post nothing but sunshine and rainbows, but we should at least give it a few months to see if it works out.Pigeonho said:Like I say, time will tell but regardless of who is on the end of his crosses, 4 assists from 21 appearances isn't exactly awe-inspiring stuff. Maybe you are right though and Dzeko will nod in half dozen or so of those crosses. I think I could understand it more if AJ was a 100% first team regular, but we are essentially replacing a part time player with a player from Birmingham. Going to take a lot off the kid to convince me i'm afraid but like I say, i'm a transfer snob these days!

No yoooonited, would go find a tramp and sign him up...
Thats a poor comparison. United signing a player of the calibre of Henrik Larsson is completely different to us signing his Sebastian Larsson! Henrik Larsson was a quality player in that bracket behind the world class players in my view, (proven by his record). Sebastian Larsson is a £1m midfielder from Birmingham who has so far attracted Villa and Newcastle. I REALLY want to be proven wrong and he fires in cross after cross after cross, but I have nothing to go off to say that will be the case, nothing other than someone giving a stat from 4 years ago when (apparently) he was the best crosser of the ball in the latter stage of that particular season. As I have said already, this season he has 4 assists to his name - 4. Lets just see though eh? Hopefully I will eat humble pie in massive portions.Andouble said:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henrik_LarssonPigeonho said:Time will tell but I look at it in a rather snobby manner these days.
