The combination of Rekik training with the first team today and Mancini being told no to adding Coates seems kinda interesting.

Roberto Mancini's hopes of signing Uruguay centre-back Sebastian Coates before the end of the transfer window have been dashed after he was told spending will end with a £25million deal for Arsenal’s Samir Nasri.
Although Mancini has targeted Coates, 20, from Nacional as a replacement for Nedum Onuoha, he has accepted that City are unlikely to do any more business this summer following talks with chief executive Garry Cook and football administrator Brian Marwood.

BTW, Sunday Mirror and Sky Italia (former probably borrowing from the latter) say we're the favourites to sign him for £12 million.
