I failed to find the answer, so I'l laske here: where exactly are we standing in regards to Coates? Have me made a bid? Does he want to move?

I am certain that he wants to move, but only to a top league, like Serie A, Premier League, or even la Liga. He got a really good offer a few weeks ago from a Ukrainian team, but he declined it right away because he is not interested in playing on small leagues.

Manchester City have not made a bid for Coates. Nacional is still waiting for bids from Manchester City, Juventus, Inter, etc.

Perhaps truth to Ladyman's story then that the brass won't sanction any more moves after Nasri (or alternative). Mail says we tried to swap players for Parker instead of cash too. But Weiss, SWP, and Onuoha are likely to be sold in the next week, which should raise close to 10m.

Both stories in the Mail also so may have some legs, not arsed about Bellers but personally think we should be pulling out all the stops to get Coates think he could make a big differeance in our defence. Could be the difference from Second to Champions.
