Banning a woman's handbag? Just cos i assumer you're a bloke who goes a for piss up and if they buy a prog shove it in their back pocket along with your wallet (and wonder why you lose your wallet?!) PLENTY of people need a bag, a small one.
Medication for example (and her purse, phone, bits and bobs - we don't all drive, you try getting a bus for an hour with nowt with you) - My mum needs to take quite a few bits with her, if she shoved it all in her coat pockets she'd be bulging so much they'd think she had a bombvest on under it!
Personally if we're getting this paranoid i suggest we all go there topless, just to prove we havn't got anything strapped to ourselves to take everyone out with ;)

So it's ok to expect people to go without things they NEED with them if they are out of the house for 4 hours? But you guys go apeshit when there's no alcohol in the stadium on euro nights cos you can't go to a match without drinking?! And don't get me started on the idiots who can't last without smoking. Anyway, the city store wouldn't do much trade on a match day if people can't take in what they've just bought in a bag!

Aside from the absurdity of what you're getting at there is NO evidence that racial profiling works. Not only that, do you not get that the whole point of attacks like the one in France was to create even more division between Muslims and the rest of our society? You'd be creating even more terrorists by subjecting thousands of people to that kind of humiliation week in week out. We'd be safer if we cancelled matches all together than go down that road.

Don't think we need to cancel matches altogether and I don't think colour charts are appropriate in this day and age. Would a white male be more or less likely to detonate a bomb in public right now than someone of middle eastern or Asian appearance look I'm not comfortable at all with this but its a very inconvenient truth.

Its typical of the cord wearing liberal luvvies that we cannot offend someone by a 30 seconds bag check in case it gives justification for that person to then go and massacre 127 people, its the apologists who have created this in the first place.

I'm offended by mass murder as it happens no matter what religion it is commited by.

They need public opinion in arab states to be on their side. Targetting a stadium that is owned by an Abu Dhabi skeikh would only weaken them.

I have literally no idea how you think this idea will make us safer and I'm genuinely curious as to how you define the selection criteria. This is nothing to do with being a cord wearing leftie, its unenforceable and massively dangerous to wider society.

also lots of Islamist terrorists aren't of Asian appearance. Boko Haram and Al Shabaab have already declared allegiance to Isis so you're going to have check all black people too if it's going to be worth it.

It's a horrible idea that wouldn't protect us one bit. And I'll say it again, we would be safer as whole to cancel matches all together than introduce a system where we start treating anyone that isn't pale skinned as an outsider.

Mate, I think what geoff clip is getting at is not people being searched, but doing so based on colour. I completely agree with him because how would this be implemented; everyone who comes near the ground is lined up against a certified Pantone Reference colour chart? At what colour does the Pantone chart commence from and where about on the spectrum would be considered a safe enough colour not to be checked? Would the security personnel charged with the responsibility be checked prior for colour blindness? Will they be trained to use a spectrophotometer to confirm the 'shade' of the 'suspects'? Also what about the Barry the Bomber types of this world like the film 'The Four Lions'?

One of the bushiest most impressive beards I've seen since first clapping eyes on Yosemite Sam is a fully blue eyed, as Anglo Saxon as they come white Muslim fella who used to run an all night off licence near my Mums. This fella wears the full white traditional Muslim garms with the cap and sandals in all weather conditions, so what would you suggest we do with him who I would assume falls outside your colour profiling idea?

We need to take sensible precautions, not be implementing a form of potential terrorist apartheid in football based on what shade of brown your skin happens to be.
