What aspects of Fofana's game make you believe he doesn't have the ability to break into our first team?

The fact he is 19 years old and has been loaned out to side who already has good youth team in place.
Agree. At 19 years old, he should be already in the City first team squad, if he was something special.

better transfer list Denayer and Rekik then. Oh and Lopes while you're at it, he's 19 next month so clearly his best footballing days are behind him

All 3 are playing for bigger clubs than Fulham and are getting valuable experience in playing in Europe.

No chance this has a similar feel to the Emyr Huws deal,

I thought as much......

This will be a fantastic move for the kid, best wishes to him.

Struggling to work out how the significance of Fulham's good youth system means he's not good enough for us? If it was that good surely they'd not be loaning him in as a kid and instead would have gone for a seasoned pro?

If a team with a good youth team is trying to get our youth players on loan to improve their first team isn't that a good sign?

It is mate,Ray is talking shite.

Fofana has a long way to go before we think about playing him in our first team, hence the loan.....however,he is still a kid who is developing physically and technically,he is inconsistent at present but he has all the raw ingredients to be a very impressive midfielder,IMO,possibly similar, and hopefully better,to Sissokho at Newcastle.

Time will tell but to suggest he isn't good enough at this stage is ridiculous in the extreme.

It certainly increases his chance of securing a good club providing the loan deal works out.

Good move, be interesting to see how he gets on.

Unless we produce a phenomenal talent, now player is going to be a first team regular at 19. The age our youngsters will break through is 22/23 after several loan spells.

Excellent move.

Really talented kid who needs just a bit of a kick in the right direction, to bring it out of him. This is his chance to prove he can do it.

Hope he grabs it.

Some of the comments on this seem to be by complete tools.

A good move and a good test but If he was that talented he wouldn't of been loaned out to a club who is currently 17th in the Championship.

Come on Ray, give the kid a chance. Most of the regular watchers of the EDS squad have all noted his potential. Sure he makes mistakes, but so do all players at that age. One thing we should never do is consign a promising young player to the dustbin before he fully matures.

I am totally in Nev's camp on this one. He is super talented and needs the chance to be nurtured in the professional game. This is the right move for him, and I am sure if Viera was asked he would agree.
