Semi Final tickets (Merged)

To be honest I am actually devastated. Ive had a season ticket for around 8 years now, been to every cup game and all. So when the draw was made I was over the moon, I thought that sitting in a bore of watching us get beat by Arsenal kids years ago had paid off... but NO! Being so soon after xmas I actually cant afford to pay out 40 quid. I knew the away leg was virtually out of my grasp but tbh I expected the home leg to be around 25 - 30 quid tops, maybe a reduction to season/city card holders to stop anybody coming. So going to all previous cup games seems pointless seeing as though I have to miss the best one of them all. If they had told me the cheap tickets were so they could charge us this much for the semis would I have gone .. no way. Another thing, go on the scums website and ticket prices, it says the maximum they can charge for a carling cup game in our area is 36 quid, so why they charging 41/42?

Sorry for being dumb/blind I have had a quick look through the thread, how do we know it's going to be £40? is it going off the away leg prices?

Has anyone tried finding out the away allocation yet?

tried this morning, spoke to Corporate and they didn't know.

all they said was that Corporate have got a larger allocation so he can only assume the overall allocation is bigger but no definitive total.

Cheers

Cheers Blue John, one day away from BM and I am lost ;p

Definitely going to the home tie (despite the £40 price tag)

Just hoping there will be some away tickets left when it gets down to 3300, although I think I may be disappointed :(

Not the clubs fault, its Uniteds fault....will people PLEASE stop trying to blame the club.

Maybe as a gesture, the club could send out a £5 or £10 gift voucher with the tickets for the club shop? This would get around the FACT that we can't charge a reduced rate because of those dirty bankrupt money grabbing red tw*ts!

I'm concerned about the points criteria for the 2nd leg!

Same criteria for the league game where we had just over 3k.

We have 3 times as many tickets for the semi, but the points criteria is the same. Why is this?

Anybody with a contact at the club, so this 'concern' can be raised.

Anybody with 3k loyalty points should normally be OK with such an allocation.

Expect a lot to be diverted to corporate; and particularly supporters clubs.

Chill out levets......
as i said last night, what City have done is just released the initial criteria.
Due to xmas and all that they will sell to fans with 4000+, then guage how many are left (I'd say approx 4-5000) and then announce a new points criteria.
Theres probably a lot of fans with between 3600 and 4000 points so depending on how many tkts are left they will then start selling them with the points dropping by 50 points, or maybe less, per day thereafter.
Remember, the game isnt until the 19th so theyve still got 3 weeks to sell the remaining tickets after the 29th (4000 points).
I reckon it will go down to about 3600 before it sells out.
