semi final trouble

How the fuck can anyone enjoy the day out when the most hated rivals are stood a few metres away singing 35 years and why don't city fuck off home whilst you just stand there nice and merrily. Part of the fun of a rivalry is a bit of trouble. If every game passed off with no after the game incidents it would be shit and no different to any other game. One of the reasons I love playing teams like Millwall and Leeds. Unfortunately police even clamp down on fans meeting elsewhere for a fight, so that is one of the reasons it no longer happens anymore. If it does kick-off it will be near wembley stadium. Most likely afterr the game when the losing set of fans will come out with a provacative chant.

I really can't tell if you're on a wind up or not.

Since the 'new' Wembley has been built there hasn't been too many intense derbies.

The only one that comes to mind is the 2008 Carling Cup between Chelsea and Spurs.

Went for a drink with my Chelsea mate last night asking him what it was like:

Because Spurs hadn't been to Wembley before and this was Chelsea's third time, a lot of their [Spurs] fans got to the ground earlier as it was there big day out. So when the Chelsea fans got off the tube it was like walking outside the Corner Pin after Spurs had just beaten you. Proper mouthing off and swarming with them everywhere. It didn't kick off between huge groups but there were little skirmishes everywhere. Walking down Wembley Way there is no real police presense until you get near the top where they seperate the fans going one way and the other.

-------------------------------------------------------------

He also said that depending on which side of the ground we get will depend on where we will be told to drink. On one side there's supposed to be a great pub called the Green Man, but if you're not on that side then go into London for a drink because Wembley is shit.

been to wembley with england quite a few times,as for pubs, theres a weatherspoons (jj moons) near to wembley central if you turn right towards wembley its on your right, decent pub meals in there, also if you go past the entrance for wembley theres a pub on your left(not sure of the name though).wembley park tube station, turn to your right theres the sports bar, turn to your left the torch is a couple of hundred yards up on your right hand side, and round the corner from the torch is an asda for cheap carryouts, there are also a couple of offys near to wembley park station as well as a top chinese take away,an indian resteraunt, and a bookies.also the green man pub quite big with cup final photos on the walls

mate just phoned up acording to him and a report in one of todays papers the police are seeking permision for it to be shifted to villa park, can anyone clarify this

no

but if you think that tens of thousands of people can't walk down Wembley way together for a SF without it being running battles and carnage then i think you're the one who needs to get in the real world

that in itself would represent a step forward imo

a few will be actually be travelling together as other threads have indicated

shock, horror

Yes and that travelling together is fucking disgusting and will completely destroy the atmosphere. Whenever I've been in a derby day stadium (last one was Burnley v Blackburn) I've wanted to kill each and every one of the fans in that end and every player. To the point where I got escorted out of the stadium for abusing Dunn at the corner flag. If every fan treated a derby like that then there would be a chance they could be restored to what they once were. You can tell it won't be a passionate derby if fans are willing to walk hand in hand down wembley road. It wouldn't happen with Cardiff v Swansea. It wouldn't happen between Burnley and Blackburn. It wouldn't happen between West ham and Millwall. It wouldn't happen between Leeds and anyone. From what I've seen this season there are too many fair weather supporters at CoMS and going off some of the posts here it looks like some want to carry that through to wembley.

I can't think that there will be many fans that follow both Burnley and City, even fewer with an attitude like this.

There was one however, and he was sent down after killing a Nottingham Forest fan in 2002 in Burnley town centre.....
