Why bother with loyalty points at all?

Face facts the cup scheme is a way to force blues to buy tickets for matches they don't want/can commit to. We took the piss out of United fans being made to buy tickets for shit games, now look at us, modern football I'm afraid.

For those saying it's 'fair' don't chat shit, because it isn't. It's elitist and completely panders to the JCL'S with deeper pockets, which are the type of 'megastore daytripper' fan the club are looking to attract.

Fans that have seen hundreds of games fucked over.

Fans who tipped in the dark days of Ball, Neal and Clarke have been shafted by the club they love, well played City.

Anybody who really wanted to go to a potential semi or final would have joined the cup scheme, its not like we didn't know the club would do this...

Our cup scheme differs from the rags' in that SC holders are not FORCED to join.

And members of our CS are rewarded for attending the early - sometimes unattractive - rounds of the cups, which is only right, IMHO.

Maybe I and other older fans should have felt shafted when they started the current loyalty scheme in 1999. By then plenty of us had had S/Ts for years and some attended loads of away games but there were no extra points added for that.

The point I'm trying to make is that no scheme is going to satisfy everybody, there will always be some who feel aggrieved. The current system isn't perfect but it's better than not having one at all.

why not?

i have sympathy for those who have gone to all the cup games and not on the cup scheme, and city must know who they are from their purchase history, but none for those who haven't been to a cup game

from their own making they have chosen not to be too bothered so why be too bothered now?
