to be honest i wouldnt play them together

kdb, sane, sterling, jesus is the starting 4 for me every game

That is my starting 4 as well although I do think that Jesus and Aguero can play together in a front 3.

Aguero is a city legend but Jesus offers so much more to the team. He is a fighter and has a great passing range.

I am not writing off Kun. I am sure sitting on the bench watching us destroy West Ham with Jesus starring will give him some extra motivation. Now its all on Kun, he needs to improve and Pep has said it many times before. I am hoping he does improve and stays with us. If he doesn't then I wouldn't be surprised if Pep sells him in the summer, and looking at our front 3 tonight that may not be so bad after all.

Hes trying. I'm certain of that, he really has been working harder and making smarter pressing movements.

It's funny though isn't it - I desperately, desperately want this to be the stimulus for Sergio to reach a new level, but all of a sudden it's not looking like a total catastrophe if he didn't...

A great boxing film of yesteryear (streets of gold) has a line that I hope plays out 'there's room at the top for both of us'...

It wouldn't be a catastrophe but certainly a travesty, Kun deserves to leave this club as our all time greatest goal scorer, I'm not writing him off just yet but something feels off in terms of his future... Like I said, he's at his peak IMO, he should be embracing this and telling the kid 'this is how it's done'..

well he'll either sink or swim now, the kids up front are laying down the challenge, and for once we now have real competition for our stars.

Kun will either rise to it and him & Jesus will make the greatest strike partnership in Prem history, or he'll be gone fairly quickly.

Up to him to knuckle down, get what Pep wants (has only taken Jesus a week and a half) and start banging in the goals again, and setting his team-mates up.

I don't think he's close to his peak, if he was fresh 2011 Kun free from the injuries that have taken the edge off, and still had that instinctive "there's the 10% chance of scoring, bang it's in the bottom corner see you later" knack present in his play then yes, but he's a way off that at the moment. I'm not sure on the physical side what he can get back, but the finishing will have to return sharpish or he simply won't get in the starting XI now.

He doesn't always have to shepherd the ball around the box to find an open angle. He seems tense to me he is a bit frustrated with the way the last few games have gone. Liberate him from the pressure and he will be back to his best. He doesn't have to do everything by himself but he feels we are expecting too much of him, as how he singlehandedly won us the league in 2011.

That KdB goal where Jesus passed to KdB. When that went in, I thought if Jesus was Aguero, he would have shot in near post. Knowing Aguero it would likely go in granted, but passing to the middle would be the better option.

Hope this competition would be good for him. And that Kelechi still is given games.

Great players are able to evolve there game, kun is certainly one of those, the kun you allude to he may not be, however, we just don't know yet in terms of functioning in this team. His peak is down to him, that's the point, does he still have the desire?? If so then he'll eclipse anything that's gone before him!

I think you are bang on with that mate.

I agree with you, although I don't feel he's at his peak. The player we signed was better than the player we have now, imo.

if he has the will, and can adapt to the fact that goals like QPR and United away 2013 are probably beyond him physically now, but can find other ways to ruthlessly put away every half yard chance he gets like he did at his best, then he still has a very valuable role. I just don't know whether he can keep up with the others on the physical side. I know it sounds daft because he isn't slow and for most teams he'd be the man still, but it's a yard and a bit short of 2011 Kun in agility and with the way Pep wants to play, he's now slow compared to the front 3 that started tonight, and that made all the difference tonight, the fact that at full tilt that front 3 is simply unplayable.

For those speculating about Kun's time being over at City:

may I remind you of the shitload of wrong predictions about Yaya's future at City back in September?
Keep cool you Blues.
