Sergio Aguero - 2016/17 performances

Sergio is injured anyway and hasn't travelled to meet up with the Argentinean squad.

I'm in the minority but I also think it's a red card. The intent was there born out of pure frustration of constantly being man handled and barged into from the back, something that the referee should be doing something about.

However our saving grace is the fact that the referee can't deny that he saw the incident. So he saw it and didn't deem it worthy of a card at the time so can they then award a red card after looking at it again?

If it was a Utd player i doubt they'd be quite as much media coverage though and it's that what pisses me off more than anything else.

As always - different rules apply.

Don't rule out the fact that Marriner can ( and quite probably will ) say that he " didn't see the incident " , after all Clattenburg managed to " not see the incident " involving Adebayor and RVP

this may have been discussed but if Aguero is charged, if we appeal would that then make him available for the derby but then receive a further match ban after!? Fergie did it with Rio against us a few years back didn't he?

you get 7 days to put a appeal in

The Football Association will be establishing exactly what referee Andre Marriner saw of Sunday's incident between Sergio Aguero and Winston Reid before deciding their next course of action.

Aguero appeared to swing an elbow at Reid during Manchester City's 3-1 win over West Ham at the Etihad Stadium.

The FA have power to take retrospective action over incidents the referee has not seen but only 're-referee' decisions they have wrong in very rare circumstances.

Very rare circumstances, such as banning the best striker in the league right before a Manchester derby.
