I couldn't see the game but regardless of what happened it's disappointing to see even a few posters seriously doubting Aguero after today's game. I refuse to believe he could have been that bad.

"I haven't seen the game but I think I know what happened in it better than those that did."

Really?

blows hot and cold quite often. i respect the guy so much so hard to slate him, but i think he can be pretty wasteful
He's getting towards the end of his career (still got a brilliant goals per 90 ratio), the team isn't clicking and our defence is shocking. Plus he's not built for tall compact blocks. He's been one of our better players over the past month.

yeah, thats very true. like i say, really hard to slate the guy, but he does have his habits of blowing hot and cold from one game to the next

Posted this in another thread but will post it here too as it is better to be discussed here.

Our record With and Without Sergio in the starting XI this season:

With: wins 11, draws 2, losses 6 (!)

Without: wins 15, draws 3, losses 1(!)

So, Sergio has started half of the games this season, and our record without Sergio is much better than with him.

We have lost 6 games in the league, 5 with Sergio in the first XI.

Hope Pep realises that this season we DON'T play better and AREN'T more successful with Sergio in the first XI.

Have you got the list of opposition for when we were with and without Sergio?

As the best striker we have, he tends to get trusted against the better quality of opponent.

I don't but Sergio has started games in the cups too.

Our record without him in the league and the CL away games reads: 2 draws (Atalanta, Newcastle) and about 10 wins, not a single loss!

We might have lost without him at Anfield but we won fairly comofortable without him at Manure, Arsenal, Palace, Everton, Wham, Burnley, Shaktar, Zagreb...

But it's the games against the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs etc where we've really been shown up this season and those losses aren't right to pin on Aguero.

His record against the top 6 has been phenomenal since he joined us but this season he's struggled to reach those heights, like the majority of the team.
