I want him available for the CL but at the same time I don't want him to break down again because he was brought back to soon but I want him available for the CL but at the sam...

Hopefully he recovers fully and it's not a concern, but this could be a big call for Pep and Sergio.

I don't think he'll start vs. Madrid. I think it'll be Foden-Jesus-Sterling or Sterling-Jesus-Bernardo depending on if Bernardo shows his old form in training.

Remember we're defending effectively a 2 goal lead. Real have to come at us and score, and I expect we will have a strategy of keeping hold of the ball, not forcing any attacks, inviting the press in midfield and then hit them on the break from ~30 yards out if/when they overcommit.

Jesus' work off the ball and in midfield will be better suited - just like the first leg.

And if it's going very well, or badly, bring Aguero off the bench so he's a bit sharper for Juventus.

Seems unlikely he'll be fit/sharp enough to start before the semi-finals, 11 days after Madrid.

If this bloke becomes available perhaps we should make a bid, looks incredible

I know he's not exactly done badly for himself, what with being the highest scoring foreign player in English football history and all that, but it's a real shame he had all those knee and muscle injuries from 2013-2015. They really took a yard of pace and explosiveness off him. it's the only reason he's putting up Shearer/Henry numbers and not miles out ahead of them with 5 or 6 golden boots and Shearer's record beaten.

Would also have loved to see him play under Pep from 2013 instead of them linking up when he was already 29 and had 500 professional games on the clock.

That video should also illustrate what an actual Aguero replacement should look like to the people who think Haaland or Lautaro Martinez are gonna do it.

The Aguero we have now is an shadow of what he used to be really. When you watch videos of how he used to play, not just Atletico but at City too, it almost makes me sad to see him now. Time catches up on us all, and too many injuries too. I doubt we’ll have a more talented striker than Aguero in the rest of my life. I’m 32.

Since his last knee op he was even better,he said he was playing without pain for the first time in five years,he is older and has adapted his game so not sure comparing him to ten years ago is really relevant ,he is not finished yet by a long chalk

I was wondering the other day about how much Atleti Aguero would've cost these last few years and whether we'd be in for him at that price. I think by definition anyone good enough to be considered an Aguero "replacement" would require us to basically shatter our transfer record.
