Sergio Aguero.

His movement in and around the box is second to none, just watch the goal he scored at Old Trafford again, he's a good few yards behind both Ferdinand and Jones as the ball is played to Micah but he just gets in between them and is in perfect position for when the ball is played across just like he was against Swansea and Villareal. He has so much more to give aswell, playing with the likes of Silva, Dzeko, Balotelli, Nasri etc I could easily seeing him score 30 plus goals just because of how good his movement is and his finishing ability and thats before he's really got into the swing of things in terms of being creative and using his passing ability because theres no doubt Aguero is much much more than just a goalscorer.

3rd best player in the world.Class.

Better than Xavi, Iniesta, and our Merlin???
I think you could make a case for it.

Think calling him the best striker in the world isn't unreasonable and no I don't consider Messi a striker.

Dont be daft pal. If Silva's the best player in the Premier league, which is generally accepted around the league I reckon, how can Aguero be better than him? On current form, Mario is better than Aguero. Xavi and Iniesta havent exactly been lighting it up this season so far, but then again they aren't headline makers, they are just top quality.

As many have already stated, Sergio has not settled in completely and may in fact not even be fully fit. When he's fully integrated and fully firing then he may end up being the 3rd best player in the world after Messi and Ronaldo. Until then he's (in my humble opinion) about 5th or 6th, but definitely in the top 3 forwards/strikers in the world.

Messi, Ronaldo, Silva at the moment, no question.

Not a dig at you, and anyway isn't it nice to have the luxury of talking about our City players in such esteemed circles hey pal?????? :O)

Correct, you don't want your marksman out on the wing chasing down lost causes. You what him timing his 6 to 8 yard bursts in front of goal, just like Aguero did for his goal on Sunday.

To quote Cloughie, "You need 3 pianists and 7 piano shifters in a team". Although I think that has changed a bit in this era, Aguero is definitely one of the pianists.
Not sure if he's a pianist, but it's just how he plays. There are many types of strikers, and he's more like Torres to be honest in playing style. Not surprising as they're both Ahtletico formed.

Allow me to comment on this Aguero and Torres statement Jumanji: Aguero made his debut at the age of 15 in Club Atletico Independiente (my team), and he already played the way the world knows now. And they only played together for one year for Atletico Madrid (thank God he left that team!).
As regards his fitness, even though Kun is not at 100%, you will never see him do the work Tevez does. Sergio is much clever, always keeping the defenders busy where it hurts the most: near the box and all along the offside line. As time goes by and his fitness improves, you will start seeing him more involved in the play creation, covering more areas during a match. He has great passing skills and a great shot, so even though his most important attribute is being one hell of a striker, it is usual in him (when he's 100% fit) to go back to 3/4 of the pitch and take the ball there. The way I see it, he is trying to avoid wasting energy (which he now lacks as the clock ticks) not only because of his almost null pre-season physical work, but also because he knows the kind of players City has, players who can assist him very easily (Silva above all) near the box.

I'm glad to see Kun is doing great, you not only have a star player, you also have a great human resource there: fantastic guy, winner, and believe it or not, leader too. Enjoy him, here in Argentina we cannot enjoy our star players for too long in our league. I hope you'll get the Premier this year.

Cheers!

Welcome to our forum Nicolas-Argentina and thanks for your comments,we have a truly great player in Kun and hopefully we will progress to bigger and and better things with him in our ranks.. Its always nice to have views from non City fans so hope you'll come on again.

Yeah I wasn't saying he is just that you could argue it.

I don't think there is any doubt Silva has been the best player in the premier league hense why he is the bookmakers favourite as player of the year so far. Aguero's goal scoring form has been terrific when he has played and he is only going to improve.

It is still shocking we are talking about TWO city players who COULD be up there with talents like Messi and ronaldo...mind blogging

Thing is (and don't take this the wrong way), i don't even feel he's contributed all that much to our general play, compared to some of the other players. He's still adapting, still wanting a little too much time on the ball, still getting dispossessed quite easily - a bit like Silva when he first signed. Yet he has 11 goals in 10 games.

He only going to get better. Frightening.

i agree. hasn,t really impacted on our general approach play-next season he will be unplayable.scary.

look at the pass he made for Balotelli that led to Evans sending off... also his movement and passing that led to dzeko 1st chance.. he's a very intelligent striker, with amazing pace, creativity, athleticism, and lethal finishing.. and he is still adapting to this league... unbelieveable..
