Fair enough! It would probably make logical sense for Chelsea to be interested, but for some reason I can't see it, nor can I see him going to us.Kladze said:Slightly tongue in cheek, considering the previous summer window.MCFCHOWELL said:How do you get that from the above?Kladze said:Well, that's him going to Chelsea then, while we overpay for another average centre back.
Lately though, the La Liga stars do tend to end up in London. We will probably use our money elsewhere, i.e. Portugal. ;-)
Dave Ewing's Back 'eader said:Real have had the best of him. We should be signing the equivalent 19 or 20 Yr olds and we'll have the best of them, or shoeing them in from the Academy.

Not centre halves tho, they get better with age and experience, he's 28 not 33/34
Ramos would be a fantastic signing, arguably the best centre half in Europe and has won the lot

Only 28? Boy, I have a feeling he plays 15 years in madrid.
But I still have reserves about him moving away from Madrid, he is one of the icons of that team

He played for Sevilla before Real Madrid, but he has been at Madrid now for 10 years
Still only 28 tho and still have 4 or 5 years playing at the top of his game
Fantastic defender and would walk into any team in Europe

Agreed, and surprised this hasn't attracted more comments on this forum. He would be the best defender at our club. He's won it all. Everything. He'd help our other players develop. Kompany would get even better alongside him, Mangala would have two top players to learn from and he'd settle perfectly into the prem.

Man City and Chelsea eye Ramos!
Manchester City and Chelsea eye Sergio Ramos as Real Madrid future remains uncertain
The Spanish defender has two years to run on his contract and if a new deal can't be arranged he would turn his attention to the Premier League
The Spanish defender has two years to run on his contract and if a new deal can't be arranged he would turn his attention to the Premier League.
Manchester City and Chelsea are monitoring Sergio Ramos’s situation at Real Madrid after talks over a new deal went quiet, writes Tom Hopkinson in the Sunday People.
Sunday People Sport has been told that Ramos is not happy at the situation and will speak to Madrid president Florentino Perez this week in a bid to sort his future out.
New boss Rafa Benitez is keen to keep hold of the defender, 29, but with just two years to run on his contract he wants either a new deal or to be able to study options in the Premier League.
City would take Ramos this year, while Chelsea would rather wait until the summer of 2016 when he will command a far smaller fee.
Real would demand around £50million this summer.
