Sergio Ramos

Never been convinced by this guy.

Always felt hes had a nice cotton wool environment at Madrid.

Not convinced he could mix it at CB in the prem.
Agreed. Reported annual wages at £15 mill. at Madrid + sign on fee + regular red cards + we don't need a 35 year old high profile galactico. In the present financial climate we can do much better by investing elsewhere. A "free transfer" doesn't come without cost.

Has he been a disaster in PL? No, he has done very well. Their defense has been brilliant and Silva has been a strong part of that turn around. To think Ramos wouldn’t adapt is crazy
I don’t think he would
Call me crazy

Why not?
What did Ruben Dias had that made it easier for him than it would for Ramos? Or Thiago Silva who’s older than Ramos? He would be arriving at the current champions of the league, it’s not a different situation than playing for Madrid in Spain

No he is player in decline who has a nasty streak who will get targeted as soon as he signs for City.

Just the usual tabloid crap. We sell Sergio and then get someone in older than him. Yeh, makes perfect sense.

Age ? Besides why would we need another CB ? We have 4 already.
First of all, we never sold Sergio. He was a free agent. Second of all, age wasn’t the reason why his contract wasn’t extended. Ramos being older isn’t an issue. Kun and him play different positions. I already mentioned Thiago Silva who is older than Ramos and just won the UCL for Chelsea performing well. There are other top CB’s in the world at an older age playing well. I don’t agree with people here saying he’s playing worse now. He still gets the job done and is a leader. And I think he would be fine with the rotation.
But maybe you missed the discussion in the other pages. We all agree that Ramos would only be considered in the scenario in which Laporte were to leave, which is looking very much possible. He is unhappy and supposedly there is a rumor that Real Madrid would be interested. If he goes, someone needs to come. In that scenario, I think Ramos is pretty much perfect

I dont give a fuck how good you think he may be in this league - we aren't paying 15 million a year for two years for a 35 year old unless his first name is Lionel. Understand that contrary Mary,

He isn’t getting that at Madrid either. Wherever he goes or even if he stays, he will be paid less. And if rumors about that third year at New York City are true, you know what that means...

Ramos has had his issues with injury, more to Real desperate for him to be back in the team and not allowing him to heal properly.

Kun had a very serious knee injury and had 12 months to return to fitness, he never did fully and may never.

Big difference in leadership abilities, that what Ramos would come for, incredible personality to have around the club, serial winner.
