Tbh, out of all our top players, he is the one we can do without

Really?
Could we have done without his 19 goals as well?
I fail to see how your best striker is the most expendable personally.

He's the one who will put the shit fear up defenders. His close control is superb. His goal today was going behind him and he hooked it back! An immense player who will be missed for any matches. He must be Pellegrini's first pick!

Well this is what we have a squad for.

Time for someone else to step up to the plate although we don't have another striker of his type. Dzeko, Negredo and Jovetic are quite similar whereas Aguero is more the quick silver striker. Can we win our games in his absence? Yes

Luckily, our midfield have goals in them aplenty.

Only real bad point of a great day this is.

If we could keep Aguero, Kompany and Silva all fit together and have them playing In the same side for 4-5 months we'd piss this league

To true pam we have a lot of players this year scoring plenty from their positions, whereas say Liverpool rely on their forward 2,and one is out injured

Jovetic is more like a striker Nasri than Negredo or Dzeko to me. His close control and creativity were spellbinding in Italy.

A couple of weeks out will see him have a proper rest, up to the rest of the team to continue to step up to the plate and show the full value of having 4 strikers. If we can keep the momentum going by the time he comes back should be like having a new player raring to go for the long run in. (could be a blessing in disguise)

As I said in the pre-match thread, today was the first time this season that we eventually played our real best starting XI.
Unfortunately, we struggle to keep everyone fit, and won't be allowed to regularly play our 100% best squad.
Rotation and performances from the second strings will be the key to success.

Get will soon Sergio.

It will be interesting to see what will Pellegrini do ?

Stick with the 4-4-2 or switch it to 4-2-3-1 ?
