To put it into perspective apparantly 15,000 bikes are pulled out every year of Amsterdam canal, just saying.

How many people out of the amsterdam canals though out of interest? Bikes are irrelevant

I highly doubt people are just chucking bikes in the canal for sport. In my experience there are generally people on the bike when it is moving, and as a rule I would not chain my bike to a canal, it is a little wet.

Think how many canal over here have ladders or rubber rings or people around to pull you out?! My mate fell into the Amsterdam canal because he thought is was a giant marshmallow, somebody pulled him out. Would someone pull you out of the Mersey tonight if you though it was a marshmallow?

Anyone who jumps into a canal thinking its a marshmallow should probably be left in the canal.

And another one bites the dust. When are people going to wake up and realise there is something happening?

Police say no suspicious circumstances, http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-21302911
Something not right about all these young lads slipping in canals.

So the police say that there will be a post mortem tomorrow, but are quick to say there are no suspicious circumstances. How the hell do they know that without the post mortem taking place?
