Serial Killer at large in Manchester?

Working on the very optimistic figure that 1 in 3 people he pushes in the canal end up drowning, that would leave at least 20-30 people who presumably have reported to the old bill that an identical looking geezer has randomly shoved them in some canal over the last couple of years?

You are assuming that he hasnt killed them first.

I'm assuming too many people have been watching CSI Manchester to be honest.

But just to play along, I'm confident The GMP's version of Quincy would have noticed if that had been the case.

Knocking someone out isn't quite as easy as it seems on tele. In real life, one right hook to the chin doesn't normally render someone unconscious, only for them to wake up five minutes later without a scratch on them. Always assuming someone hasn't pushed them in a canal in the meantime of course.

taken from rawk - scrolling down to the end posting, could it be a killer at large in the north west ?

Is there a similar number of people found in the waterways of, say Birmingham, to make a comparison? I know it proves nothing but would be interesting to know.

Birmingham has more canals than Venice and Liverpool has more waterways than Birmingham.

Which could suggest that they should have a proportionately bigger issue than Manchester.

Bear with me on this one but with the terrible news about finding that lad in the Canal there seems to be a few bodies that turn up in that canal with no idea of how they got there? Too many people go missing after a night out in the town and there just the ones we know about?

Did`nt that guy who`s bones they found next to the motorway,go out in town and never come back?

Before people say i`m being disrepectful or sensationalist i`ve been thinking about this for a long time and there are some sick bast@rds around nowdays.

In America alone they reckon theres about 50 serial killers on the prowl. Why not one in Manchester?

You only have to watch crimewatch to see that in many cases when a girl is walking home alone there is always someone in the vicinity able to do them harm..

Frightening scenario tbh..and the same could apply to young men.

There are killers of young men,but serial killers wouldnt get a sex high from just pushing someone into a canal..

Last weekend I had a couple of nights on the lash with my mate down Brighton, i woke Sunday and can't recollect how I got home on the Fri and especially the Sat, I mean proper blackout, I'm 43 now and tbh it proper shit me up, I never used to be like this when I was younger but vodka red bull or jaegerbombers are the devils drink in my opinion. It could have ended so different as it seems to have tragically here, I've vowed not to get in this condition again now, I'm just going to stick to beer now and curb the massive sessions, a baby on the way will also help I think, no money no drink.

Brighton, eh?

Can't remember a thing, eh?

Hmm.......

And Brighton is a small town with a vibrant gay community.

What's your point?

edit. Sorry mate, looking back that sounds a bit confrontational. the original quip was just that, Brighton having something of a reputation.
