Family history tells me that a relative of mine was fished out of the same canal back in the 1920's so it must have been gong on for quite a while.
On the other cases though I would prefer to let the forensic people and the police come to their own conclusion, here on Fylde coast every year some body gets drunk and decides it would be a good idea to go for a swim after midnight, they are normally washed up at St Annes. Perhaps people in their inebriated state just fall in
