Serial Killer at large in Manchester?

Are folk still running with this 'Manchester Ripper' nonsense?
Manchester has 20 odd miles of waterway, most of it unprotected.
Millions of folk every year get drunk and take drugs, then try to walk home.
I think I can see a possible explanation here.
Clearly every loss of life is a tragedy for the deceased and their loved ones, but to link these deaths with no proof whatsoever seems bizarre to me.

Again..The bluemoon csi's out in force wanting answers that the poor lads family won't even have as of yet. I give up fetters I really do!
Another young life wasted more than likely as a result of excessive drinking/drugs. Who knows but a serial fucking killer. Do you know how silly that sounds?? They are clever, they plan their victims carefully and normally for a reason. To think a serial killer has attacked some poor lad on a night out in town is simply wrong. Show me one piece of evidence as I have previously states and I will enter a discussion. Perhaps it's a problem with youngsters drinking excessively?? The 2 arrested have been released without charge which means they have given the police a valid reason why they were with Adam etc and more than likely have other witnesses who can cooberate their stories.

But then you have people saying 'do you really believe that?' when the cops have said no suspicious circumstances, like as if they want for there to be a serial killer on the loose.

It can't be a proper serial killer without a Conan Doyle type sinister Victorian moniker.

"The hooded claw of Clayton canal."

There you go Daily Star readers, your myth can now become legend. Knock yourselves out.

Found dead under a bridge off Beaufort St Castlefield, the bridge is surrounded by a fence, he was wearing a shirt and pants, looks like he was that drunk he scaled the fence and went to sleep under this remote bridge and froze to death
There is no serial killer

I will never question the police again as they are always right, thanks I feel much better now.

Awful, poor sod. If we all think back to that age where we think we're invincible, it is just so bloody easy to be caught out.

Blind drunk and can pass out asleep but able to scale a fence, I am a bit sceptical why would you walk all the way down there to have a kip drunk or not I bet he never knew it was even there.

He might have slipped over the fence at the top of it and cracked his head? Who knows? It is more likely to attempt to scale such a fence when steaming than it is when sober anyway, because as i'm sure we all know, we can do anything when we're drunk, so we think.

I just find it extremely hard to believe a 17 year old lad in town would go out and walk a long distance to a dark secluded bridge scale a fence and have a kip in his shirt and pants pissed up or not.

You do daft things when you're pissed mate.
I woke up once completely off my face at someone's house, flagged down the first taxi, and found out I was in fucking Norwich, when I had started off the evening in the Circus Tavern.
It's tragic, but Pige is right - you are bulletproof when you are young.
Until you're not.
