Bear with me on this one but with the terrible news about finding that lad in the Canal there seems to be a few bodies that turn up in that canal with no idea of how they got there? Too many people go missing after a night out in the town and there just the ones we know about?

Did`nt that guy who`s bones they found next to the motorway,go out in town and never come back?

Before people say i`m being disrepectful or sensationalist i`ve been thinking about this for a long time and there are some sick bast@rds around nowdays.

In America alone they reckon theres about 50 serial killers on the prowl. Why not one in Manchester?

I am with you on this one mate I have been saying for months something is no right! How can that lad not nowhere he is yet he is ok to text his girlfriend saying he is lost? When I read these stories something just doesn’t add up for me. It’s a hard topic to discuss but it needs to be looked into

Ive been drunk numerous times near water and never once been close to staggering in. If that was a serious case then surely people would be staggering in the road all the time and being hit.

I meqan , look at that Brahey lad, there was CCTV of him after he had stopped drinking and he walked for miles to town with no issue, then falls in the water and can't get out?

I am pretty sure people dont just fall in water, even if they are drunk, and cant get out.

People do, I have dealt with 5 in 9 years. Its common regrettably. From experience its been people who are depressed, recently had bad news or even had a bad time with their mrs on a night out. But a common factor in all of them is alcohol

We used to go for an early morning joint under the canal bridge on Oxford Road after Jilly's Rockworld. There'd always be half a dozen homeless folk sleeping in gaps in the walls.

The canal is absolutely a place to avoid after dark.
