Sevilla away sold out!

Now you are justing going to wind fans up

Yeah, spend hundreds of pounds and travel all around the country to annoy someone on Bluemoon who's probably been to 1 game!

If you go to all the away games you learn how it works and who to contact/what to do if you miss out on tickets - The majority of people on here who have around 12/13,000 points will find their way in easy.

the bottom line is someone with 13,000 points should have the chance of getting a ticket before someone with 11,000 or else what's the point

I am all for conspiracy theories so my question is for a game that they knew was going to be the highest CL demand why was there such a wide gap between the points release.

It wasn't as if they needed to sell them quickly there is still 3 weeks to go to the game and those that were planning on gong had already booked the flights. Might have something to do with covering themselves with Thompson Sport allocations.

Is this correct about Thompsons, because there itinerary clearly states you have to get a ticket in your own right or you will be offered 2 options, a full refund or you can travel without a ticket for the match.

That's true, and I agree with you.

In my case though, I'm 22, I started going to every away game I could when I was 18 - despite having a season ticket since '98 I was about 5/6,000 points off the selling out criteria for pretty much every game because of when I was born (It's unrealistic to expect anyone under 18 to be able to attend 10+ away matches a season when you have a dad like mine who could only make it to the odd one every now and again). If you don't offer people the chance to climb the ladder - they won't and we'd end up with 3,000 pensioners going to all the away games in 20 years, then once they've all popped their clogs, we lose the away cultures and infrastructures and end up with poor travelling support. I'm in a position now where I'd get tickets to every game other than United away and this one, although I wasn't going to this one regardless.

I think we need to keep the supporters clubs, but we should make it stricter because there are ways around it.

Of course they'll say that officially, in the same way the OSC branches say you must have enough points to get a ticket through them. But there's no way the club will let a corporate partner like Thomson Sport, who pay us a lot of money, run a trip at a loss if 75% of the bookers pull out.

Like the Derby, i've just missed out on this. Kind of glad in all honesty as i can't really afford to go but would of if been there i was able to get a ticket on my card. I know plenty of people who have nowhere near enough points that are going to both this and United away though. They seem to go to all the big games yet duck the standard stoke away on a midweek fixtures. Not wanting to put fuel on the flames but when i ask, they say they get their tickets through supporters clubs. I don't believe they are the problem though, the ever increasing corporate tickets that are handed out are the problem. I know a few lads who work for City, they are entitled to two free tickets to any game. They actually say that not as many as you'd think take up the allocation, but when it comes to big games, everybody grabs them. Whilst it would piss many people off, I'd much rather City were just open about it and tell us how many they've taken out of the allocation for players, corporate, staff etc. We all know it happens, if they were honest about it, it would be easier to swallow.

First of all i have a ticket. I do not thought brag about abusing the system thru supporters clubs.
