We can shower this team with every superlative our brains can muster, but in all honesty I don’t think we yet realise how good we are. We are the best team in Europe. We don’t yet have the jug-eared trophy to cement that statement, but regardless.. City play the best football in the world. It’s the balance we have between creating a fuck load of chances and conceding next to none. How do you combat that!? Pep is turning us into a machine, and we keep removing parts, and slotting in different players, yet the level is the same. We truly are the best team in the land and all the world. It’s less a chant and more a statement of fact.

Supurb performance overall, Dave was the standout again, Jesus played well but needs a goal, Mahrez needs to start taking players on I was hopeful the goal at the weekend would help his confidence.

However, top of a group after a first game stinker where the other clubs are much of a muchness. If results go our way in the next round we'll be through with 2 games to go.

Quality last night, totally controlled the game first half and regardless of shahktar having littke more of the ball second half, the defence stood solid.

We also had plenty of near misses; much more a case of marginally off than poor.

Our biggest failing is not scoring ridiculous numbers of goals.

Only downside was Jesus , he desperately needs a goal and his needless offside are getting beyond a joke , cant fault his effort and an honest hard working lad , but he needs to get his act together , the team performance was top level , a professional and ruthless european masterclass , and we rested Kun , Sane , Bernardo and Walker along the way , this team really is incredible , Merlin was the orchestrator again , best midfield player in europe at the moment.

Picky. Against what was considered a good team Jesus was offside twice if memory serves. Get his act together? He made the space for Bernardo to score. It was his shot which when blocked fell to Silva. So involved in 2 goals out of 3.

Usual City. Have to pick one out of the eleven to call. Seen it so many times.
