Fry’s ad-lib of that line led to Atkinsons somewhat surprised rejoinder of “Well quite”.Oxford’s an absolute dump.
In my humble opinion, ‘Goes forth‘ has to be one of the very best set of comedy episodes ever written and performed.
Saddo that I am, I watch it every couple of years, and it’s as funny today as it was then.

I have no doubt you have.
A place that produces 3rd rate vaccines and 3rd rate politicians but plenty of 1st rate arseholes.
I don’t think he’d have to personally pay tbh.Like I said, if you are prepared to pay for the repatriation of a known terrorist sympathiser and then pay for her incarceration then you obviously have more money than me.
I wouldn’t really begrudge my taxpayer money being used to give her a fair trial. That’s how civilised societies should operate.I don't think anyone would pay, that was the point. But collectively we will pay, like it or not.

Quite right.I wouldn’t really begrudge my taxpayer money being used to give her a fair trial. That’s how civilised societies should operate.
Considering we’ve got over 400 actual fighters back in this country (and tried some, at least) suggests that this is nothing more than politicking on a grand scale. Those fighters are either wandering around now, or will be released one day and our politicians are seriously suggesting she’s more dangerous than any of them?
