I agreeShe wasn't a child when she showed zero remorse in her first interviews. We are a soft touch society but for terrorism...zero tolerance should be the way, otherwise we are simply pissing on the memory of the innocent people who have died to this stuff.
Can we be a strong country in at least one area please.
How come we aren't removing the citizenship of all the National action mob or Lee Rigbys killers I'm sure we can palm them off on their ancestral homes?
Basically picked on an easy target haven't they to look like they are tough on crime and immigration.
I very much doubt it, as my understanding is that she is maintaining she isn't a BGD national. Although entitled to it, she has never claimed it through her parents. To claim it and suggest she go there would be to give an easy win to UK Gov.
I suspect that she will eventually be allowed to return at which point she will be prosecuted. Once she is handed a small sentence and released she will be handed anonymity as per Maxine Carr.
I agree
She was already 20 when she essentially said the Manchester bombings were justified, and she also has no regrets that she went to join a terrorist organisation so that’s enough for me to feel she shouldn’t be coming back. Her words alone show she is radicalised.
We have been letting people in and out of the country that are known to be associated with terrorist groups, just like the **** who bombed the kids at Manchester Arena. It should never happen. Maybe some get through the net but in this case that’s not happening.
Many people feel she isn’t a threat to society if she comes back, but how do you know? Nobody knows. She might not be, but why take the risk on someone who seemingly has no remorse for terrorism and seemingly doesn’t feel there’s much wrong with the organisation she is/was part of.
Because they committed crimes here on the streets of the UK, so they got arrested here and put on trial here
This one joined a terrorist origination on another continent.
Not comparable
Just who is paying the not inconsiderable cost of having long term lawyers on her case?
I love the use of ‘essentially’ and ‘seemingly’ to justify the arbitrary stripping of citizenship.
Well, we can only take her at her word for it, but not everyone’s word is true. That’s why I said seemingly.
But those words are from her. That’s enough for me to think she shouldn’t be walking our streets. She’s not worth the risk.
