The government shouldn’t render British citizens stateless.

Everybody deserves to stand trial, innocent until proven guilty, in front of a jury of their peers.

We should as a society look to rehabilitate and give people another chance, if they are alive to have finished their sentence after being found guilty by the aforementioned jury and sentenced by a judge.

Why should other nations take her because we don’t want to follow process?

My emotional side thinks sod her and let her rot but the law and due process must be followed.

anyway, she's under such hardship that she managed to get her hair done and an outfit sorted. At the same time there are many innocent Afghanis stuck about to meet a terrible fate who are far more deserving of help.

She's not claiming asylum so what you are talking about is irrelevant. She's our problem, she grew up in the UK and we should take her back and she can be prosecuted for her membership of Islamic State.

She isn't a serious threat to the UK, just a red tops constructed public hate figure without much intelligence who said some silly things.

you are apologising for Shamima Begum.

Yes from her point of view it was a silly thing to say as it made her situation worse. It's also been discussed previously that such words may have been under duress of the circumstances she was in, saying things to appear loyal to IS under the fear of reprisals.

That isn't to downplay the gravity of the attack.

But as far as I know what she said isn't a crime, if it is then it is incitement and the argument that we don't have evidence to convict her falls apart.

But Anjem Choudary said abhorrent things for many years, it was only when he declared loyalty to ISIS were we able to lock him up.

you are apologising for Shamima Begum.

She's her problem.

Perhaps she can try, convict and imprison herself.

I've said we should lock her up for any crimes we can convict her of. That's some apologism.

We take back British born paedophiles who have done wicked crimes overseas and represent a far greater risk and cost of locking up and keeping the public safe. But we do it because it's our responsibility to do so.

There's an idea. She was so fond of the death penalty in the Caliphate so maybe she can bring that back in her own court case too.

It's madness to think she can go anywhere else. It's impossible a waste everyone's time and money. Your own country has to take you back if no one wants you. Some very bad criminals have came back here after sentences or whatever else It's how it works we cannot just make someone invisible or not be there, it's impossible no one else wants her so we have to take her. Shes born here she british same would happen for anyone else who is British.

Till she takes back what she said about the manchester bombings she can go fuck herself

Seems she kinda half did that already.

Shamima Begum apologises for saying Manchester Arena bombing was 'justified' and asks for forgiveness on GMB - Manchester Evening News

I think comments she made, potentially under duress, should be the least of our worries.
We need to find out if she was complicit in terrorist actions, and so we need to bring her back and get her on trial in the UK.

She's been made an example of, but now is the time to follow due legal processes.

Leaving a British citizen stateless doesn't sit right with me, even if said person has been involved in potentially awful things. We can't pick and choose which laws we should follow.
